The last 2 weeks have been and gone and it has been a long time since Anna came to see where we were up to in our passion project !
We had our wine weekend and a wedding anniversary party !
Then the moment we had a minute I wanted to show Anna how the work has advanced
along with a late birthday surprise for her ...
It was something she had seen back in July and she loved but we couldn't get it at the time ...
I was worried Anna would notice the surprise but luckily with all the things going on at the chateau she was only able to come today .
We had fun filming this and we hope you all like it x

It’s exhausting but they’ve not had business in nearly 2 years so this is a good reason to be exhausted. Hopefully they can save their home.

It is so touching to see how much love there is between you both. To not only remember what Anna loved from the stall to then go back and buy it and then hide it for her to find as a surprise is just so lovely. My jaw dropped when you opened up the screen and the gorgeous painting was revealed. Stunning! I don't know where you both find the energy to do everything you do. This episode had several sweet moments and surprises! The shots of the colors from the stained glass on the floor were unexpected and beautiful. The surprise table was touching, and the wall is looking great! Feel better Anna! We missed you both!
In France now..went out to the beach today it was lovely..Bordeaux tomorrow having an amazing time in France this time..Will be at Lalande for 3 nights..Wish I knew about the wine weekend

Hello, it's so beautiful and there is great love between two people. In the desert Palms are used to the very cold and frost during the night and seasons and can if strong live in snow. You do have some damaged palms. Wait for the affected palm to produce new growth, and do not remove the affected fronds until the danger of additional hard freezes is over as winter is arriving your way. Affected palms should not be irrigated or fertilized now. Fertilize palms during the active growing season from as early as late spring to early fall. To protect your palm tree for winter this is what to do. Cover the trunk-less palms with a frost blanket and add warmth-generating lights. Mulch palms with a layer of chopped leaves. Cover the base and crown, but don't smother the plant completely. During a cold snap, protect the entire plant by adding a box or blanket over the leaf mulch. I was that way in the past and my stress super mom and health was affected and now repaired. You're doing too much in our new world, not so free lets say. We were forced to change as a new way of living. Please take care of you and your children. They need you both as the two of you need them and between yourselves. I have downsized and now travel when allowed to travel in different areas and love this lifestyle and stress free. Best wishes and be well, do take care of your health for you are worthy of it and beautiful souls.

I hope you are planning a nice rounded top arch to the wooden gate in the outdoor block/stone fence. If you can manage an arch of stone over the top of the gate, a persons' eye would follow the top of the fence to the feature of the nice wooden gate. Thank you for the videos of your adventure. May you find a way in the future to keep this property that you are bringing back to life. Here's hoping.
I pray every day that they get to keep the house they are so inlove with it .it breaks my heart how they have to keep reminding themselves that they are selling..hope they find another way. Love u guys.

Cut the palm in Spring,trim the lower branches now,if you want to tidy it up,at a glance,it seems the old leaves protected the growing crown from the cold. They’re ‘monocots’,if the crown is damaged it wont regrow.

We wrap our palm trunks here in Texas. Otherwise they freeze and die. You can use burlap.
You should have people share too to build up your channel.
I was surprised to see that your palm trees have survived to be the size they are with the weather getting cold there. I know they would not have survived at all in Missouri, USA. Palm trees can stand cold many down to minus 10 cut back dead fans from the trunk but leave them on at the growing crown to protect growth from cold winds and leave all the hair on the trunks for same reason.

If those palms are Trachycarpus fortunei (windmill palms) and if your lowest winter temperature is only 10 C, then they will be fine. They are one of the hardiest palm species going 😁They can tolerate temperatures down to -15 C.
