AWESOME TRANSFORMATION! You are DA MAN!
I appreciate that!
Thank you very much Pablo, for showing us what boots you were wearing today! 😆
Haha thanks for watching 😊!
COOL 👍
Thank you 🙏
A master at work. No detail overlooked. Now suffering from “boot envy.”
Thanks for the kind words!
You just made a really good boot a great boot adding the Vibram sole.
Thanks Ed!
They look way better than they did with the wedge sole
Thanks!
Beautiful transformation Pablo, it completely changed the look
Thanks brother
Fantastic transformation of this classic redwing. Your videos are very well done and educational.
Thanks Duke! I hope you're enjoying your engineer boots 🙂
Awesome video. Loved the shout outs to Steve and Dale.
A couple of great guys
Great job as always Pablo!
Thanks so much Sean!
Awesome work as always! Steve sure is a good dude!
Thanks and yeah he sure is. I can't stress enough how nice of a guy Steve is to other cobblers
Another great video and excellent job on the resole! The added feature of showing the boots you are wearing was very enjoyable. Love the way u added the speed hooks too.
Thanks so much Dave!
Great job, Pablo!
Thanks!
Outstanding!!! ✨✨✨✨✨
Thank you!
Another one Pablo! You took those to the next level!
Thank you Mark!
Turned out beautifully
Thank you!
Awesome work….and cool 😎 boots!
Haha thanks Tommy!!! Your boots are next 😉
Great job again 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾💯💯💯
Much appreciated and thanks for watching 😊
Great job, Pablo.
Thanks my friend!
They look far better. Well done sir!
Thank you and thank you for watching 😁
Fantastic looking boots.
Thanks Steve and thank you for watching ☺️
Wow that's a hybrid between the redwing roughneck boots and the Nick's urban drifter. Fantastic video as always. Cheers
That's very true! Thank you!
Really sharp looking. Nice work.
Thanks for watching!
Great video, Pablo! Nice close-ups and detailed footage! I never would have thought about keeping the factory eyelet; I'll keep that in mind on my next rebuild. I was anticipating watching you secure the heel base, but it was omitted. Bummer! The boots look great, and after removing that Christy wedge sole, they're actually ready for work. This would be a great link for SRI! Be well!
Thanks!
Nice job, but I would always take 3 (6) speed hooks and another thing is that the soles become much stiffer with a leather midsole and Vibram 100 lug. It changes the way these boots behave on your feet.
Yes they do offer more support and require a longer break in. Which is exactly what this customer wanted (he has 150 pairs of welted footwear)
Vibram #1319 Arctic Grip Rubber Sole would be best for icy conditions
It's only designed for cold temperatures and shouldn't be worn in warmer weather. I'm not a fan. Thank you for watching!
Thanks for mentioning White's custom shoes. I am still trying to find the most comfortable riding boots in existence. Maybe they can help.
Are you looking for tall boots (Equestrian)?
No more Videos? Hope to see another soon hope all is well
New video just dropped
Just picked up a pair of 875's myself. The top side arch of my of my foot is higher than a average. Out of all my boots, these are a bit of a pain to get my foot in. My first few times putting these boots on my thoughts were the tongue needs to be lower by one lace eye, and why the heck didn't RW put speed hooks at the top. Nice to know I'm not the only one that thinks so. Nice work Pablo!
Thanks Doug! Can always have your cobbler install hooks!
That's some really great work! That looks incredible! I commented the other day on the 875 video where you put a tan-ish sole on. Can you do what you did to this boot but instead of black, use a tan sole? I love everything you did to these boots, would love to have a tan sole though. Let me know if that's possible? Thank you in advance.
Shoot us an email and we can set up a phone call dimarshoerepair@gmail.com
So do the screws just go through the outsole and into the midsole? How do you know how deep they go, and that it’s not going into the insole?
It's a short screw that just clinches and leather midsole. Obviously we'll check the footbed to make sure nothing sneaked through but they're just long enough to go through that much meat. Customer has worn the boots many times now and loves them
What’s the cost of this resole job? I have a new pair of red wings that I’d like for you to do.
This was $180
my understanding is the 10875 leather is thicker than the 875s. I don't have 875s so I'm not 100% sure but someone correct me if I'm wrong
I'm not entirely sure either, but the 10875 has very robust leather
Dear Pablo, you should also consider telling us the cost involved in such wonderful transformation..
Thanks I will!
I would like the same treatment on my size 11 1907's, Please advise on how to get this moving to that direction.
Thanks for watching, Genesis!
Is it possible to put a new outsole on the old rubber midsole of Red Wings? I understand the new leather midsole will be more durable but wondering if it's possible if for some reason a customer wanted to spend less money on a resole? Or would you not recommend it because the leather midsole is so much better for minimal additional cost?
You can do it that way for sure. It's not a proper re-craft but it's cheaper
How much does this transformation cost? Or, some idea of the cost, would be great! Thanks in advance!
This starts at $250 CAD
Would you recommend this or the 1136 sole for iron rangers?
Both are great options. This way adds more weight to the boot
Out of curiosity, when you hammer the cork beds into place, aren’t you artificially compressing the cork? Specifically, doesn’t that take away some of the “give” from the cork and pre compress it, such that it won’t mold (as much) as it normally would as the customer wears the boot? Why not just press it into place? I apologize if this a novice question.
No I'm just sticking the glue together
are there alternative non-steel shank?
Fibreglass
How do you cover the screws up?
They're counter-sunk in between the lugs and grab the leather midsole
How do I get my 10875’s tricked out like that?
We'll get your boots into our shop ASAP!
May I ask your professional opinion I'm giving your years of experience on sizing Thorogood Moc toe boots compared to Iron Rangers? My 9D Iron Rangers fit well. I'm looking at Thorogood 8.5 EE.
I've never worn Thorogood before but the rule of thumb is that if you want a more bespoke fit you can size down a half size and a width or two. So in theory yes the 9.5EE would fit
@@dimarshoerepair appreciated, Sir. You did mean to type the eight and a half wide like I was talking about right?
Yes
Any possibility I can get the sole, shank, and heel general the materials you have used in this repair shipped to Kenya?
Not that I'm aware of
Not that I'm aware of
Can you do the exact same thing to a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers?
Heck yeah!!!
How much did the resole cost?
$200 Canadian dollars
Pablo, can I ship you a pair of similar wedge sole RW’s so you can replicate these?
Of course you can! I would be honored to work on your RWs.
@@dimarshoerepair I believe you have several cobblers at your shop? Can I request they be done by YOU?
@@Joe_S. Absolutely. Only my hands will touch them
@@MrHad-gw1bt No thank you ….
