    I been loving that Enduro Race compound Mazza tire up the front. I got it from a Vittoria rep and he told me that the side knobs us a 38 shore compound. It is heavy but it feels excellently damped. Much improved over the original one.

      Just judging by feel they feel more like a 45-50a to me. But all the same it feels quite a bit more supple than the old ones

      Update,, definitely agree now with the soft rubber being closer to a 38a. Exceptional edge grip and great feel for the most part

    Interested to hear how you find it - had been running the 2.4" Enduro Mazza on the rear of the Slash last Winter / Summer - Loved it!
    I found it a lot better than the prev. DHR II it replaced on the mixed trails I ride here in NZ - Wet'n'rooty winter to Dry'n'rocky Summer...
    Be keen as mustard to try one of the 'RACE' versions up front (change-it-up from my usual MaxxGrip Ass-Guy).
    When you're mulleting the Reign - are you sticking with 2.4"-ish tyres? or going up +2.6's?

    • @mtbtelly5522
      @mtbtelly5522  Před rokem +1

      Nah sticking with 2.4-2.5 tyres with the mullet.

    she's hefty... Telly you have got to try the Conti Xynotal's in Enduro casing. Im starting to fall in love with mine. Works well front or back or both for optimum rolling speed

      I'm on the Kryptotals. The soft isn't as good as a maxx grip. Make sure you get a super soft on the front. They have been excellent otherwise.

    Hey telly off topic here but what would you run on a aggressive hardtail as a rear tyre 27.5 for a enduro race on dry dusty conditions?

    • @mtbtelly5522
      @mtbtelly5522  Před rokem +1

      Depends how much you weigh and whats your track record for cutting tyres in the back. I’d run a good tyre insert first up, Rimpact, cushcore, Vittoria airliner, and a 2.5 Aggressor DD. If you’re packing some KGs then the DHR2 DH casing for a little extra protection.

      @barneyrubble6485 Před rokem +1

      @@mtbtelly5522 thanks for the reply, aggressor 2.5 DD was first on my list followed by DHR2 2.6 and yes I do run an insert and I haven’t had a flat in 12 months touch wood

    Hey bro. What’s your thoughts on the new conti tires? I really dig them. But not really to announce them my new go-to’s just yet.

    • @mtbtelly5522
      @mtbtelly5522  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I still gotta spend time on them. So far they’re good, but have to run them a couple psi low for compliance, which may become squirmy under big compressions. Time will tell though

    Did not liked them - did not liked the old GEAX as well ( or how they used to call them) - good tread , but the compound is very ordinary and the tires are overly hyped and priced . Much prefer Magic Mary's or Michelin's DH .
