Well... that's the difference between someone who wants to play and someone who wants to earn.
I my case, as a computer enthusiast, I wanted a multi-cpu machine since I was a kid and saw a dual socket 7 server. Now I own a multi core-muti cpu machine made ten years ago. It also sports several pcie slots and two full 16x and thought that putting two powerfull GPUs in there would be awesome.
So, I fisted my way in my wallet and savings, shat more than 500 usd and bought two rx480s.
That was my goal, initialy. Buy two cards for my computer (I'm not into gaming but CL acceleration is something I enjoy for several things) and had to put back the money. You can't just take from the reserves and not put back. ETH was starting to climb hard and I calculated that in four months I could get my money back and keep the cards. It took two months, not four.
I was aware and I did mine cryptos since 2014 so I knew how things work. I advised my friends, dude, it's Black Friday, there are some re-sealed cards at the store, want? I'll help you get your money back in a few months.
Even now it is possible to return your investment in less than a year. Just one card makes just a few bucks of proffit every month but it pays it's electricity bill, it can keep your shed or dorm warm and reduce your gas/heating bills and it will make a profit. 30-40 a month but keep that safe and in a few months you have your cash back. And a card.
You don't need 1000 to make a profit. You need 1000 to make a HUGE profit.
Don't be greedy and you'll have fun, profit and sleep well at night*

Put the entire Electronics include the Powersuplies in a big Tank full of Mineral Oil to cool more eficient. Overclock the Miners and do not waste the Heat - sell it. When once the heat is in a Tube it is easy to transport.

Im calling bullshit. most ppl wont see the detail, I am an oil and gas construction engineer and expect to see such things. been mining bitcoin since 2012 by the way. They got a cool setup but we are going to release a video in july and I think we are competitive enough
Why aren't they liquid cooling the GPU's? There's many ways to cool the oil/liquid and it is more efficient than air cooling. That container looks quite inefficient and is not even insulated. They have a cool environment that they are not even utilizing.
MissFoxification costs a lot more and probably not easy in those server cases
The cheapest way I have seen it done was to remove all fans (moving parts) and drop the lot into mineral oil. With slight modification that would be possible in this implementation.
The increase in hash rate might make it beneficial.
Simply because it adds another point of failure, and while I agree with you that liquid cooling is more efficient way to cool things down it's also a lot heavier so even the racking would have to be modified and maintenance-wise is a hassle.
just drop whole thing in water, there must be enough current for passive cooling, especially if they claim its a turbine xD

hi, i have done an extensive research besides having invested alittle in bitcoin afew years back and enjoyed some profits, i have started build a rig to mine from my office considering power from my office building is very cheap and internet is affordable. my main concern however is the location. i am based in Livingstone, Zambia. thats south central of Africa, and this place is hot almost throughout the year. my idea is to simply aircondition my office and see if i can buikd more than two rigs then try to shift my attention in long term to a dedicated airconditioned container with specific conditions within.

Well I think the GPU's cards company are scamming the customers, it suppose to be more volume lower the costs, not raise the price. I prefer the asic miners and if the antminer fails I buy the ic cards $60 and replaced.
