      We are definitely going to check that out! Unfortunately my dear Tech Geek on most electronics you need to read the manual. They don't have a lot of pictures like when you have to put together a book shelf or table and chair set.😂

      My complements on selection of you parts model, what beautiful hands!😘
      We've seen the house, but could you possibly drive through the "neighborhood" and show the area. What we saw while you were testing the camera look wonderful, would love to see more.
      Also, looking good. Dee says you look like you've lost some weight, you definitely look less stressed.👍😎

    Wow! cool option! It doesn't seem to have too much problems with the reflection while in camera mode. A permanent solution to the roof installation is to use LAP to hold down the wire or maybe LAP tape which maybe less permanent. I really like the idea of that mirror solution since it reduces the amount of screens you have in the cockpit of the truck! I wish they had a retrofit light solution like Furrion Markerlight Camera where you take off your center red clearance light in the rear, mount the markerlight camera that is affixed to the marker light housing and there is no need to drill new holes for mounting or tap into wires to wire in the camera. That set-up is brilliant. Combine that rear set-up for us retrofitters with the mirror concept and you have a winner! Thank's for showcasing this - really looks good!

    • @BrazenBrits
      @BrazenBrits  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Andrew. We actually wanted that too, but it’s either the mirror and 1 can, or the big screen and lots of cams. It was a hard decision, but we ultimately think that the RD10 is best for us.
      The reflection seems to look a lot worse on camera than in real life, we didn’t notice any problems in real life

    Had mine for about 9 months. Love it and would buy it again. I had to put a black shade in the back window of the truck because the reflection off the white camper dulled the picture when driving toward the sun when driving. Black felt at Walmart cheep. Hard to see emergency lights in the picture. They do not catch my attention like the reflection in a mirror. Having it on the rearview mirror is just a more natural glance than looking at something on the dashboard. Love you guys! Different perspective sometimes from us Americans.

    Where does wire enter the car?

    • @BrazenBrits
      @BrazenBrits  Před 3 lety

      It’s wireless. The camera is at the back of the trailer, then the long cable attaches to a wireless antenna unit, then that unit talks wirelessly to the screen in the car. If our trailer was only small, I wouldn’t need the wire and antenna, but it’s a long trailer, so the signal doesn’t reach

    The biggest limitation with this one is the fact you can only pair it to a single wireless backup camera at a time. For most of us with trucks that tow, it would be a huge benefit to have one wireless camera on the truck cap and one on the back of the trailer so you could get use out of the rear view mirror that is blocked in both cases.

      @BrazenBrits  Před 2 lety

      Hi WJ, if you could wire the camera to a constant 12v supply, there’s no reason why you couldn’t do that. Alternatively, we guess that you could also jump the 7pin connector to keep the marker lights on where the camera pulls it’s power and take the screen into the trailer. I wonder if that would work? Might try it. Could be an interesting video 👍

    So on that install the cord you ran to the front where did it go to?

    • @BrazenBrits
      @BrazenBrits  Před rokem +1

      Hi JTP, the cord running from the back of the rig (From the camera) to the front of the rig is the antenna extender. We have a 37" Travel Trailer, so instead of the camera having to transmit the image from right at the back of the trailer to the screen, this allows the extender to transmit it from the front of the rig. Essentially, bringing the transmitter closer to the screen by 37'. This helps with any image delay and cutting out.

      @@BrazenBrits thanks for the info. Did you just tape down that extension to the roof? Is it holding? What did you use? Anything you don’t like about the camera? Lastly any tips? Thanks so much appreciate it.

      It actually comes with sticky pads and zip ties. I wasn’t convinced they would hold, but they have worked perfectly 👍

      The only thing I don’t like is that the view is slightly zoomed in to fit the wide screen. But I just use it split screen which works perfectly

    Test it at night. The glare makes tis thing useless

    • @BrazenBrits
      @BrazenBrits  Před 2 lety

      Interesting. We have used it at night, but didn’t notice too much of a problem. Is the glare from the headlights of cars behind in the camera? Or glare from the mirror? We have our camera pointed down as we use it mainly to watch the tail swing and when reversing up to an object

      That was my very question if used as a dashcam at night.
      Can the display be turned off or very very low brightness setting but still record?
      Manufacturer claims it's able to transmit 80'. My RV is 40', plus truck. So I wouldn't have to extend the antenna much if at all?

      @@bigearn8782 The forward facing camera doesn't wash out like the rear one does. The forward cam doesn't have the IR lighting like the rear. There is an auto-dim feature for the display that I find useful so that it's not so bright at night.

      We have been using it for over a year. What issues are you having with it? Would also be interested if you have had issues with it, what you replaced it with?

    • @skyeram
      @skyeram Před rokem

      They advertise 1080, except it doesn't record in 1080 if you have all 4 cameras recording, the actual recording is more like 480.
      It WILL Not loop record, the memory card has to be reformatted to be able to record over it, which means you have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA when it stops recording wile you're driving.
      This thing is ONLY good for a backup camera (not recording) and thats it.
      You email their customer service about it and they want your order number the date and time you ordered it and your name before they can even answer simple questions.
      I told them it was not recording and they actually wanted me to send them video of it NOT recording.......how exactly do you do that?
      I will probably replace it with eagle eye, it's an actual DVR system and not just a glorified dash camera
