I'd recommend that you run the camera power wire out the bottom of the running light instead of the top to decrease any leakage issues. Include a little slack so that water drips off the wire and not into the light when it travels down the wire.
Good seeing both of you. I suspect all this episode was filmed in Hope. It looks like a very nice and scenic area. I hope to see more of Hope in future episodes :) And, a recap of all the repairs you needed to do after the Mexico trip would be interesting. Looking forward to seeing your next one.
thanks for sharing. but the OCD in me is dying inside just looking at that rats nest of wire you wrapped around that camera...a little cut and splice would've cleaned all that up and you could have tucked all the splicing back into the running light hole...keep practicing on the backing up, you'll get it eventually. Im old school and even with rear and side cameras, I always revert back to side mirrors to confirm. But, as you stated, you are not able to see around the coach with your truck which would make it difficult to use mirrors while backing up. Im in an HD truck so the mirrors reach outward enough to see almost to the rear of the 30ft coach I haul around.
Hahah, yes Mel doesn't like the wires either, but I (Jay) really didn't want to cut the original wiring. Maybe a different breed of OCD thinking that I might need the extra wiring in the future. 😁 I think the camera is actually most valuable having while driving. Really helps let you see traffic coming from directly behind to pass you that's just out of view of the mirrors.
My issue with the cameras I have gotten to date has been that the cars' distance behind me is not accurately depicted. e.g. they will be 50 feet behind me but appear to be 200 feet away. I know they do this to make it a wider viewing angle but it can cause major issues when changing lanes. How does this fair in that regard?
I thought you were looking to switch trailer. Did you decide to keep that one? The price of trailer will go way down very soon if they have not already...
We're working on repairs right now and this little upgrade we're hoping will add value to the next person who owns this rig. We are still on the lookout for our next rig, but prices are still high. Hopefully they will deflate a little soon. 🤞🤞
We bought a Hallowvirw 4 seasons ago. It worked for 2 seasons and stopped. I bought new antennae and that didn’t correct it. So, we bought another one. Seems our receiver was the problem. Halloview would not help us as warranty was out expired .

Good advice. Yes, it's very well sealed, but you can never be too careful!

Thanks for the suggestion! The list of repairs and upgrades, whether related to Baja or not, is getting longer 😅
Nice to see such great shots all around Hope!
Glad you enjoyed it!

I love your "TADAAAA!" successes!
Gotta celebrate every win no matter big or small 😁
Haha love the outtakes!
Thanks! Sometimes it takes a few tries to finally say what it is we're trying to say 😅😂
Hey you’re out in Hope!! We are in Abbotsford and drive through all the time! Great videos! Thank you.
Nice! Feel free to get in touch next time you come through and maybe we can meetup.
Nice safety addition!
We absolutely love it and honestly should have bought one as soon as we bought the rig.
Another good one, thank you so much
Many thanks for the comment and support! Hope you're enjoying your summer.

It takes a bit of getting used to but I find it good for being able to judge distances for passing and coming back into a lane.

I also contacted the Haloview team, and they tried their best to provide the available solution for us after the order had been out of warranty.
Sorry to hear you had issues with your unit, Jerry.
Too bad you won’t be entertaining your neighbours anymore now that you have the camera!
😆 one would somehow always be out on their front porch when we were parking, too! They had front row seats to the show!

Lost me at unboxing
No worries. Hope you find what you're looking for.
