Thanks for watching people!! Please thumbs-up and Subscribe for more. Pop a quick comment in to say hi if you can... It's great to chat with you all!!
love it!
The camper van is coming along very nicely. That seat install looked very challenging. Nice work! 👍👏🏻
You're very kind! - We tried it out for the first time this weekend... I slept like a log! Epic adventures and radio kit to be installed soon! :-)
I'm still chuckling at 'Bucket Feet Sealing'... Classic.. Great vid bud.. Subbed for more T6 vids :-)
Thanks for the sub! - Now the summer is coming, I have a few more T6 vids planned :-)
Looking good Howard. Got mine finished today 👍
Excellent Jason!! - We tried it out for the first time this weekend... I slept like a log!... this is going to be EPIC!
Nice video I like the music could just have a few beers and listen to it all night lol
Thanks so much! - Most of the music on my channel is my own, sometimes, I use other peoples, but I always credit them... Let me know if you want an MP3 - I'll email you!
That is looking well comfy mate
Thanks Austin! - We tried it out for the first time this weekend... I slept like a log! - So much easier than putting up a bell-tent and carting all the crap around... :-)
Can't wait to see what gadgets you'll fill this up with, great work
I think - just down to flexibility - the latest Raspberry Pi 3B+ and a decent size 12vTV/Monitor to start.... What would you put in there?
@@DubiousEngineering probably not a lot, because I don't have your skills! Have you looked at any solar panels? Maybe 7.1 surround sound, a fridge for the beers (maybe food too 😉)
A van futon. That looked a tricky install, keep up the great videos 👍
This machine will definitely have some epic retro games systems installed in it!! We tried it out for the first time this weekend... I slept like a log!... Should have bought a futon from IKEA!! :-)
Another great fitting
Thankls DIM! - We tried it out for the first time this weekend... I slept like a log!...
Lovely progress :)
We tried it out for the first time this weekend... I slept like a log! - I believe I finally have time to get my camera out to shoot some DS footage and do the emulator upgrade this week.. I may send you a PM if I get stuck... :-)
@@DubiousEngineering no worries 👍
nice work mate
Aww thanks very much!! ... it’s been a long hard road, but we can now enjoy the van! :-)
Thatchers can van dance 😂 I hope that catches on
HAHAHA - It went well with the Music!! :-)
I agree with you on the rib bed compared to the rock and roll bed👍
weird... having had it for a while, it’s nice to use as a bed, but a little annoying to sit on... my feet almost don’t touch the floor... the rock and rolls are lower and work well... the rib does just sprout quality...
This is a good video here buddy, I've watch a few videos of conversations now but you have gone into a lot more fitting detail of the actual firing to the chassis.
ah yes... this was quite a task... I suffered the same problems... I did my research and people just didn’t get into the detail...
Bucket feet sealing eh? we know you meant bucket seat feeling but it was a grand giggle.
Will the camper van have that video game in there as well for rainy days?
It sure is a lot of labor of love to get this to be all you two want it to be.
Dear Karen... You are right! It's a labour of love!! We tried it out for the first time this weekend... I slept like a log!...This machine will definitely have some epic retro games systems installed in it!! Now I can go slowly as it is finally functional... before I just wanted to get it so we could use it, and it was killing me, now I can take my time and enjoy the project!
Good idea using a threaded bolt, however, you should really use high tensile bolts if carrying passengers, as the bolts will now be the weakest part of your seat
Good call... I'm sure it wont be hard to replace them... :-)
Back from Turkey? And busy again. 👍🏻
We tried it out for the first time this weekend... I slept like a log!...This machine will definitely have some epic retro games systems installed in it!! - Exactly... actually, these videos are in the wings on the computer, just waiting for time to do the editing... its a long process!
Dubious Engineering keep it up. 👍🏻
Of my build the Rib bed was by far the biggest ball ache to fit.
Proper nightmare... Are there any MOT issues that you know of reference safety etc?
T6 Passion wagon!!!! Seriously though - will there have to be extra MOT requirements now?
Thats a really good question... I hope not... I'm going to ask my forum friends.... or over-pay the MOT garage!! :-)
Thanks for the vid. Just about to install a 112cm RIB. Can I ask what floor that is please?
hi David, I got the floor kit on eBay - I went with the heavy duty thick pre-cut ply …. it’s been fantastic so far!
Does that seat fitting comply with mot testing etc for the strength of the seatbelt? Was that the recommended places to drill according to the t6 hivemind
A very good question... You have me worried! - I'm going to look it up, that said, nearly everything is bolted through major sub-structure... I tried my hardest!! :-)
Didn't use the fitting kit for this seat?
Didn't! Made my own...
Howdy! Could you tell me who supplied your Reimo seat/bed please my friend? Tia
I got mine from www.banwy.co.uk - amazing service... arrived in two days... massive stock.
Just wondering why you didn’t fit with one of the RIB fitting kits. Surely that large metal brace that fits underneath the chassis is a large part of the reason it has a crash rating?
Yeah I would recommend doing that rather than making your own!!
Hi sir ! I’m from france and can you tell me how i can buy the seat bed rib like you ( alone under a box) because after long research i only find professional people who provide installation and this is very very expensive. Thanks for your good video
Banwy... www.banwy.co.uk I hope they can deliver to France! ... Bon chance mon Ami!
Dubious Engineering thank you for your fast answer. Good maybe i can move to uk because i want also buy a kit at evo design for my t5. Do you know if the rib seat from banwy are approval for the european rules ? Are this is the same than france ?
Sébastien Jullien you should telephone banwy to ask them... they are kind people and can help....
Dubious Engineering thank you so much i will try 🙏🏼
Where did you buy the bed from?
A company called Banwy based in north wales... brilliant service and next day delivery!! www.banwy.co.uk/
That's complicated to install and use, so no it is not better. With an R&R bed you get much more storage, easy to get to storage and you can throw you bedding behind the seat. You can use 4" foam and have a comfortable bed and the whole thing is much cheaper. The R&R bed is easily number 1.
There are benefits to both. This seat sits too high of the floor, so short ass me has a problem... My feet don't touch the ground while sitting. This has been my only complaint.
@@DubiousEngineering What about my criticisms and feet not reaching the ground, that is pretty serious. I can sit with my feet on the ground and my head doesn't touch the ceiling, so that is ideal. I did my entire build for less than £1,000 in materials and have maximised the available space..
@@allanb52 that’s a great budget! I spend £7000 in materials and months of my labour….
@@DubiousEngineering This is the 3rd van I have built and have kept everything simple, No solar, no second battery, a simple coldbox running only when the engine runs, so just a couple of USBs and LED lights to power. My priority is reliability and that means KISS. We did a 10,000km trip to Greece and Turkey last year and heading for the Alps late spring and back to our home in Portugal. I was sick in 2015 during this last build so subbed some of the work out. This added £2k to the cost, but still had an 08 Vivaro camper for £6.5k and so far have had over 150 days/nights in it. Good luck..
What size is the rib bed. Model
It’s the 3/4 width size sold by banwy in wales
Dubious Engineering thank you
