    We've had ours for 13 years in our t4. Its been absolutely brilliant I couldn't recommend the rib enough. I made some drawers to go underneath for extra storage. Well worth the money.

    I wish I had known about these type of seats when we bought our campervan. We have just got the normal rock and roll bed. If we weren’t so far away, I would be very tempted to sell our van and buy one of yours. They look fantastic! 💕

    I have one of these but a three seater. Rock hard mattress to sleep on and it squeaks like hell when driving. £2500 spent on a bed and then had to spend another £100 for a good self inflating mattress. Not bad if you like sleeping on a concrete floor

      I have one in my van, no problem with a decent memory foam topper.
      The access to storage beneath and behind and flexibility of the bed system is second to none. No squeaks from mine whatsoever.

    from the van floor, what the height up to the top of the two doors below the bed ? What I'm getting at is how tall can a portapotti be before it hits door top or framework ?

    I have had a full conversion done and went for the 120 cm rib altair bed in mine because I was so impressed. Now I have it installed, In use, in the bed mode, the front section of the bed is quite a cantilever and I worry a little that if both myself and the wife had all our weight on it, it may cause problems. What is the weight restriction on the rib altair bed, particularly the front leaf ?

    Hi hello
    May I ask please
    how much would a 2 seat rib bed costs fitted to my t6 lwb
    Kind regards

    Is there any reason these couldn't be installed as driver's seats (as long as there was an electric handbrake in the front dash)? Seems like it would be a good way to maximise use of the dead space created by the front driver's seats.

    Ðo you not find the rib bed a little high when seated ?

  • @mikesimmonds1916
    @mikesimmonds1916 Před rokem

    We have one and it's very mechanically clever. Looks good is well built and safe clearly but it is so uncomfortable we need a memory foam topper to make it passable. Which is very disappointing for somthig so expensive. Like halfords car mats in your brand new Bentley

    any seats fit for the new ford Transit ??

  • @markjackson2276
    @markjackson2276 Před rokem

    Is there any reason that they build them so high? It just seems like the leg height is too tall and this also makes the head too near to the roof, I can't see a reason why they can't be slightly lower.....or am I overlooking something?

      They need to sit above the wheel arches at either side for their system to work

    Can you still have that bed system and cupboards on runner so you can shrink or extend the boot size when travelling so a powerchair can be fitted into the boot?

    • @JerbaCampers
      @JerbaCampers  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Chris, Having the bed on a runner is definitely an option and this would give you the boot space required for a powerchair. The furniture is fixed and cannot be moved but may have the option of being adapted to suit. Another option might be to have a lift fitted under the side sliding door, this is something we have done before and this allows you to have the chair fixed in behind the driver and passenger seats.

      @Chriswoodworker Před 3 lety +1

      @@JerbaCampers Sorry, I just meant the bed section on rails with the storage cupboards that are underneath the bed being able to move. I like the idea of the lift but worried about the clearance and having my powerchair in front of rear passengers. The bed system looks perfect as we love to lounge about when on holiday and having the lifting system on the pillow part of the bed is perfect. Love your videos by the way.

    Can you put bed in a “daybed” mode to have small bed and maximise floor space?

    • @stevezodiac491
      @stevezodiac491 Před 2 lety

      When the bed is in bed mode, the floor space is still there entirely beneath the front leaf section.

      This is a crucial question

  • @broadpete
    @broadpete Před 3 lety

    Why are they so high? Even your feet don't touch the ground, and your head must brush the upper bed (which lacks the cover that most enjoy).

    • @JerbaCampers
      @JerbaCampers  Před 3 lety +2

      Back seats are high because they need to clear the wheel arches. If I sit back in the driving position there’s loads of room above my head too. If parked and enjoying the campervan we would normally pop the roof and bed up out of the way.

    What noise, the standard beds are better if you get a nice foam, no way can a double sided be more comfortable. You can't use this without an elevating roof and my R&R has more storage. These are heavier and much more expensive. I see no advantages at a;ll.
