  • We arrived in El Nido on an island hopping tour for Coron and we couldn't be more excited to be back on dry land. This slice of paradise at the top of Palawan is famous for its incredible beaches, fun nightlife, and staggering limestone rock formations. We had 4 days to explore this destination and we were going to make the most of it.
What somehow ended up on the menu though was Balut, AKA chicken or duck embryo eggs. This was a Filipino delicacy that I had been wanting to try during our stay and El Nido turned out to be the place to give it a go. Luckily for me, a lovely local lady was enjoying her embryo and she said that if I got one, she'd teach me how to eat it. So, lo and behold, I decided to buy my first Balut. Did I enjoy it? Well, you'll have to watch the video to find out the answer to that one.
This wasn't all we did in El Nido though, as we also made time to explore the beautiful surrounding area. We rented out a bike for a day and headed to both Nacpan Beach and Duli Beach. These beaches were incredible. I could have spent all day relaxing there but unfortunately the sun does set, so we had to make our way back into town.
Also in this vlog is an evening out on the town, to give you a taste of the nightlife, and also a trip to Vanilla Beach in the morning. It was a fun several days in El Nido and I would highly recommend this destination to anyone who wants to relax in paradise.
As always, we're backpacking, we're on a budget, but we're trying to do as much as possible. Join the journey by hitting subscribe and let's explore El Nido together!
