The "Still Not Bitten" team at the end credits is all the Telltale employees who stayed after the company shut down and joined Skybound to complete the game. It's absolutely breathtaking that such a small team from the OG project was able to make what has to be one of my favorite seasons (maybe even my favorite season).
About the ending: It seems like the part where Clementine gets bit and when Aj has to “kill her” take place hours after eachother but it probably happened in less than an hour, the main theory is that because Minnerva cut Clementine’s leg the Zombie virus couldn’t circulate because her blood was leaking.
I always thought the ending was kinda mid because of that but it's the first time I saw this theory and it makes it much better for me lol
correct me if i’m wrong but i’m pretty sure after the final episode came out robert kirkman wrote a journal from Aj that basically explained aj cauterised clem’s leg and threw her in a wheelbarrow and rushed back to the school where they gave her medicine which must’ve relieved the symptoms of the infection
I also think part of the "why did it not work for Lee?" thing is that with Lee, you also have the option to NOT cut it off, so they had to account for that too when it came to his bite/fate without risking things being weird.
That, and compared to arm bites (which is closer to the heart), getting bit on the leg would make the infection take longer to travel through the blood stream. Coupled with her leg being split open and letting the infection bleed out and not circulate as quickly, that's why Clementine survived. So in an ironic way, through trying to kill her, Minnie might've had a hand in saving Clem's life.
It's more than just how much blood she lost from bleeding. That counts too, but there's another reason.
Clem is a kid. She has a much smaller body than adults, so the volume of blood she lost was a greater percentage of the overall body size than if an adult had lost it. Since he lost a lot of blood, the virus could not compromise everything.

I think the reason clementine survives is because of her leg injury, it was super infected and caused her leg to essentially die. When she was bit the infection didn’t spread so she turned all yellow and sickly in the barn due to her injury and not the bite. AJ cut her leg off and she was saved❤

I thought it may be the blood loss keeping the bite from entering the blood stream. Blood loss would also account for her weakness.

When you said that lady must have been horrible at 1:18:40 she was actually the one taking care of AJ. She locked him in the locker to keep him safe from the violence, and she had a bottle on her. Such a sad situation😕
Ajs intro is my favorite one in the series it rlly gives me chills his voice actor is AMAZING
I'm pretty sure the reason Clem survived and Lee didn't was the blood loss, a detail in season 1 is that Lee when you don't cut off the arm actually turns greenish in skin tone with yellower eyes and when climbing the ladder and when their stuck in the attic, faints multiple times. In your playthrough you cut it off so he was grayer in skin tone and fainted less which I think implies that the cut did work but they didn't stop the blood loss properly so he still lost way too much blood to survive. It's confirmed that AJ heated up the axe to cauterize Clementine's leg to stop the blood loss which was the big difference between the two.
Also another cool detail that I just love in retrospect is how Lee never really left Clem physically due to her hat having thay same blood stain from when Lee was originally bit in every season and every appearance. While not confirmed I think part of that is why it's so special to clem along with it being what's left of her parents.

He died protecting the children in a misunderstanding. Poor Eddie, if he was at McCarroll Ranch actually taking care of children, then it means he got a lot better from when we first saw him. (either abandoned in a forest, or abandoning his friend in a forest).

James, I get where he comes from. I personally think with his trauma, around his boyfriend was never resolved. Plus look at how many have fallen and become monsters, that were probably good people Before all this. Marlon even. Look how easy it is to fall, and James is scared of that happening. And with him being so isolated, he's so awkward and I think doesn't know how to properly communicate with others. And in a high stress situation, with Aj Triggering him possibly, that didn't help. But at heart he is good and I think personally over time, he will open and reach out again
So as usual i got a few things:
The guy that called Clem Savage in the flashback you could recognize. He was one of the 400 days character the one from the car that either got left behind or drove off. One ended up at carver camp and the other was there.
2. About the bites: as you may already know blaze being bitten means you will get sick. Infection spreads at different speeds for many people. For Lee it was unknown how long he was unconcious before the arm being cut off due to him getting to the point of sickness when he was going in and out of conciousness. For Clem we can see that she was getting sick but it could've been a normal infection from the axe that got her leg not the infection from the bite. I still think it is a long shot that AJ was able to drag her back to the school but either way i think they deserved a happy ending. Going back to timing: it is unkown what hour it is when clem gets bitten cause it was dark before the bomb went off and how deep in the night last episode got people to that place. It seems that Clem and AJ get to the barn at dawn so it could've been anywhere from less than an hour to around 4 hours. It is possible that the bite was fresh enough that cutting off the leg did get the zombie infection away.
Then again twd was retconning some other stuff before like there was a whole plot point that walker blood and guts can spread the infection too in which case the axe would be just as deadly after killing walkers with it. All and all Lee it seems got a worse place to be bitten too. For clem it was around the tibia and for lee it was on the fore arm really close to the main bloodstream vains that is getting a bit biological but it could be a solid reason for a slower infection spread with her bite. How ever the axe going through the side of her leg could get a faster infection and walking with an axe as a cane can be really hard which might've caused her to loose strenght faster and tire her out to the point where she wasn't able to walk but wasn't going in and out of conciousness like Lee. He just straight up was collapsing as you might remember.
When it comes to michonne the show won't really answer your questions well. You could watch it up to season 3 or 4 to know the basics about her but the michonne in telltale game is the michonne from the comics so it wont connect in anyway. I recommend the show anyway but it is not the best source for who she is in that game since it is not connected with that michonne :P
Also a really fun fact. Every time you didn't control clem in the seasons you could see her subtitles going back to her original pink from the first season :P
I found myself crying my eyes out by the end. Blaze very quickly became probably my favorite content creator. Theres just something so relatable about blaze and when i watch their content im just happy. The walking dead series was great when i played it but watching blaze play it brought it to a whole new level. I love this content and i can see myself sticking around in this community for a long time
It has been amazing to watch this series, and I'm glad to see how much you seem to care about the comments (even if sometimes isn't for the better cause there are some toxic mfs everywhere). Not gonna lie, lil AJ saved my mental health (and money for therapists.) with that axe lmao Doesn't matter how many times I see S4 ending, I always tear up a little
Initially, with bits and pieces of info coming out about the final season of this game, i was so worried about the cast being nearly entirely children, given the poor reception (and sometimes writing) of pretty much any child that wasn't Clem.
I have to say this ended up being my favorite cast of characters outside of season 1.

I really liked James and completely understand him and it makes me sad how he just wanted to keep what was left of his humanity, what he did wasn’t right but I still wanna sob thinking about his whole character

1:15:19 The reason he said "I'm not letting one of you savages take a kid!" is because lilly's group attacked the Ranch, thats also why Abel said they're at war with Richmond because they also have kids. That is also why Clementine didn't go back.
It's also nice knowing Clementine is still helping them in a way.

I’m pretty sure her survival had to do with the fact that blood was kinda gushing out of her. So the infection wasn’t spreading as fast and that she had it cut off a lot sooner than lee did.
From what I remember Lee took a while to cut his off. As well as passed out before he could do it. Oh, and lees bite was on his arm. So a lot closer to his brain.
Lee had to walk through the whole city and into the sewer. Clem had to take a stroll through the forest to James' barn. Without direct indication of time or distance, it could've been minutes, she could've gotten bit right before sunrise.
Lee also spend many hours bitten before he got his arm cut. I mean, Lee and his group WALKED to Vernon's bunker, and right there Lee passed out. While he was unconscious the rest came up with the idea of cutting his arm.
Now with Clem, she NEVER passed out, meaning the infection wasn't that advanced with her. She had only spend at most an hour or two before they reached James's barn. So Clem spend plenty of less time bitten than Lee.
Lee got bit on his arm, while Clem on the leg. A you said, closer to his brain than Clem.
Clementine had a severe open wound on her bitten leg, meaning she was bleeding a lot. That explains her quick exhaustion and pale skin. If AJ didn't cut her leg, the bite would've eventually killed her; however it seems that mostly Clem was dying mostly from blood loss.
There IS a thing that is bs in this ending and that's how Clem did not died from loss of blood? Specially when she had her leg cut? People also ask how they got out of the barn, but that isn't as hard to believe. AJ could easily cover Clem in the Walker's guts too so they wouldn't attack them. As to how they got out and return to the school, there are many possibilities too:
1-Violent/Louis/Tenn and the rest of the surviving kids found them in the barn and helped them come back. Violet knew they were out there, when she returned to the school and saw they hadn't come back for too much time she encourages the rest to go out and look for them.
2-AJ opened the barn door, and as they're covered in guts, they weren't attacked. AJ comes out first and makes noise (a distraction outside) so the walkers get out of the barn. Many fans had already mentioned how AJ could've used the wheelbarrow to move Clem and either reach the school on their own, or getting close enough for the kids to find them.
We just have to suspend our disbelief when it comes to Clem not bleeding to death or Ruby being able to treat an amputation. Katjaa was an adult veterinarian and even she couldn't save the band professor Lee brought. Now imagine Ruby who is younger, and although she learned from a nurse, she didn't study professional as a nurse. Something that Katjaa definitively did with studying veterinary.
@@danielmunoz1275 I don't buy the 1 or 2 hours thing. You can already see the light from the sun when she gets bit. It's about 18 minutes of gameplay, so I give it 30 minutes max. While there isn't a confirmed time for bites I do think 1 or 2 hours is too much. The blood loss thing is relevant especially since her leg wasn't even tied to stop the blood flow.

Hi Blaze, i got an idea for future videos to make. I would really appreciate if you would play “Not my neighbor”, it’s a game where you are a security guard and people will be visiting you. You have to decide if it’s rather your neighbor or a doppelgänger. They have to give you an entry request, ID and they have to look exactly like on the pictures. And you also have a list of people that you’re expecting. (If they’re not on the list but they look exactly the same as on the pictures and their ID matches with the ID they have written in their Apartment AND if you call the apartment and either no one answers or their roommate answers saying they’re not home, they can still be real.) and if you think it’s a doppelgänger then you have to press a red button on the right side of your screen and call D.D.D which will get rid of them!

And let me tell you I really liked your gameplay, your reactions, but most importantly your personality and I'm going to be a loyal subscriber from now on :) Thanks for playing through this series and I hope you can keep making these awesome vids.
(kinda big so you only read if you want to | sorry :) ) Just a note on the ending: There are many theories about Clem surviving in this finale, but the most accepted by the community is that for Lee it didn't work cutting the arm off, because from talking to the group about Clem being gone to getting from the mansion to that morgue where Vernon and his people were staying in before, and waiting for him to wake up after he had passed out took at least 1 hour and a half maybe 2
As of Clem's situation when she got bit it was almost dawn, between that and when they get to James barn, and then all the dealing with the walkers situation it must've took maybe 25/30 minutes max, plus we got that theory that the wound on her leg slowed down the process. As well as Lee's bite being much closer to vital organs like his brain and his heart, etcetera etcetera.

I do love watching others play TWDG. It's always cool to check in and see someone experience it all for the first time, and yours was indeed an amazing journey to take part in. I loved your love for the characters, for Clem, for the story. The Final Season is my personal favorite of the set, and your investment was just MWAH! Especially loved when you didn't agree with certain decisions or characters you still like, understood what made them get to that moment.
So pretty much why Clementine lived and Lee didn’t is because When Lee got bit, he waited a long time to finally decide to cut his arm off and also after he got his arm cut off he lost a lot of blood to the point where it killed him. So him waiting too long to have his arm cut and his blood lost is what killed him. For clem she got bit on the leg which isn’t gonna travel to the heart as fast and AJ cut her leg off way faster then when Lee got his arm cut off. I hope that makes sense.

i feel really bad for the lady who was keeping AJ safe in that locker because she died protecting him from who she thought was a raider but every player i have seen has thought she was a terrible human being who kept him in a cage when obviously he was only in there for protection against raiders.

it’s really just a gift that the final season was able to be finished i remember when everyone went wild before episode 2 of the final season came out since telltale announced they’d be shutting down skybound is a real one for getting the team back together to finish the game
Luckily telltale is back now and they are working with skybound so there might even be a chance we get a new walking dead game 🙏
Took me a while to notice this but both Clem and Lee’s stories end with them taking a final breath with the camera turned to black the contrast with the two is pretty sad though

Really enjoyed this playthrough series! I’m so glad you mentioned Heavy Rain though (because that’s exactly what I was going to recommend!) Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls are both by the same developers as Detroit Become Human. Heavy Rain in particular is a really good game, and I’d tune in to every episode if you played it on the channel. Great story, characters, and an interesting mystery.
As this is over I recommend playing another one of telltales amazing games The Wolf Among Us. Probably telltales second best game and timing would be good as the second season comes out this year
This is very late, but it was confirmed I think on either Twitter or Tumblr back when this season first finished that James is still alive, just he and Clementine are no longer on speaking terms

Clem was and is one of the best written Characters in any computer game. If you love games like these, you should definitly play Beyond two souls (It's also from the guys you made Detroid become human) and also the Life is Strange games, they are amazingly good.

When I first ever saw the ending, I thought it was gonna be all happy at first, then after the tire swing bit and they get called to dinner, AJ would have a conversation, then leave without her insinuating that it was just AJ's form of imagination like Clem did with Lee on the train in the prior episode.
Edit: the reason I thought this was cause when Lee amputated his arm, his eyes were still normal.
But when clem got her leg amputated, her eyes were already darkening, making me think that it was far too late.
Using Lee's theme to cover the copyrighted music near the end was a nice touch

I love this series so much, clearly alot of love went into making this! It was amazing to watch you play it! And if you're interested in other story games like this, may I reccomend Detroit: Become Human, Beyond two souls and The last of us, if you haven't played them :)

If you do watch the show just know that it does NOT take place in the same universe. The Tell Tale's games take place in the comic continuity so there will be some differences with michonnes character but overall she is very similar. Same applies with other characters that appeared throughout the game.
Congrats on finishing the walking dead I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did my first time around. Also if you ever want to play another decision based game with good gameplay I highly recommend the Infamous franchise if you haven’t played them already
If you have time to watch the show you should. But the Telltale games take place in the comic universe, so if you have free time you can look at those if you want. Really enjoyed your playthroughs!

Honestly I think you’re better off not playing the Michonne story. It doesn’t really add anything to the main story and on top of that it’s Michonne from the comics not the tv series. They are VERY different timelines.

How can you not cry at this ending? It's sad af before the plot twist happens. We've seen Clem literally grow up and thought she was about to die. God forbid someone have emotions, unlike you. There's nothing at all wrong with crying and you're weird if you think otherwise
