  • Canada proved to be a race to forget for the Scuderia. Lacking pace overall, neither driver made it to Q3. Plagued by engine troubles and a slick tyre gamble that didn't pay off, Charles retired from the race. Carlos looked like he might manage to score a point or two for the team, but a spin and the resulting damage ended his race early, leading to a double DNF and a point-less weekend.
Corrections: at 1:43, Ricky says 'Could be Mode X.' At 7:02, Bryan is saying '1:28.7s' for Ricciardo's lap time. In addition, due to Charles' radio being muted for 14 laps, there are likely missing radios.
    Highlights:
    1. 1:51 - Watch Charles and Carlos' onboards for the wet race start. Charles initially gains two positions and Carlos loses two.
    2. 2:36 - Charles takes a detour off track at Turns 13/14
    3. 3:22 "We are seeing something strange engine-side..." - Charles is told that the team has noticed a problem with his engine
    4. 3:45 - There's a close call with Carlos as Sargeant rejoins the track
    5. 4:14 "How much am I losing down the straights?" - Charles gets frustrated when his engineer will not give him the exact amount that he is losing. He is then told it is half a second.
    6. 6:30 "It's impossible to pass. I'm stuck." - Both cars are trapped in a train for much of the race, which becomes worse when they switch to dry tyres and lose traction off the racing line.
    7. 8:47 & 12:37 "I'm losing shitloads of speed in the straight." - Charles expresses frustration at his inability to overtake, and Bryan reassures him by saying they can still seize opportunities in the rain. They also eventually realize Charles is losing about 1.2s on the straights.
    8. 10:52 & 11:59 "Tell me the forecast, Ricky!" - Carlos gets frustrated when his engineer won't inform him of the rain forecast so he can give input on the tyre compound for the pit stop.
    9. 13:58 "Better to take risk..." - Charles decides to take a gamble and box a second time under the safety car for dry tyres, as well as perform a power cycle to fix the engine issue.
    10. 15:25 "It's wet Sector 3...let Charles know." - Carlos informs his engineer to warn Charles of the wet patches, knowing he will struggle on his slicks.
    11. 16:39 & 17:43 "Should we box again? It's raining too much." - Charles loses too much time on his slick tyres on the wet track, and eventually boxes again for inters. Bryan says the engine problem is resolved.
    12. 17:03 "Someone hit me." - Carlos' car receives some damage from slight contact with Magnussen.
    13. 20:43 "What is the target?" - The team is waiting for the rain to dissipate and the track to calm to make a decision about whether to retire the car.
    14. 22:25 & 22:38 "We will retire the car." - Charles agrees it is the right decision, to prioritize engine mileage over finishing last in the race and/or risking damage.
    15. 24:24 - Carlos avoids another collision as Ricciardo rejoins the track.
16 25:27 "Yeah, sorry for that." - Carlos passes Albon on track to get himself into a points position, but, a lap later, he loses traction on the curb at Turn 6 and spins, making contact with Albon and ending both of their races.
