@@whirlwindsky I use the Tempurpedic pillow but it really all depends on how you sleep. If you're a side-sleeper, you should try to figure out how "high" your neck rises from the width of your shoulders. If you're a back or stomach sleeper, you need to account how thick your body is and how high your head needs to be to achieve a proper alignment. I'm a side-sleeper, 5'10" about 34" shoulder to shoulder - tried way too many pillows before landing on the Tempurpedic.
A huge factor is your mattress so get that first, then find a pillow that works with it. I went with a medium-soft mattress so I sink in a bit more.

A relative humidity measurement of 100% does not necessarily mean that rain is falling. It just means that the air is holding as much moisture as it can at a given temperature, in the form of water vapor, which is an invisible gas.
However, near 100% relative humidity, you can get water vapor condensing into very small water droplets to form clouds, including fog near the surface. Also, the relative humidity at the ground does not have to be 100% to get rainfall. It often happens in the western United States, for instance, that you will have clouds producing rainfall or snowfall which then falls through very dry (low relative humidity) air near the surface and evaporates before it even hits the ground. This is called virga.

Ok... I MOSTLY agree with Tectone on mech suits taking hits and the pilots feeling pain... HOWEVER, he always uses Evangelion as an example, and that's like, the BEST example of WHY it SHOULD happen that way. Because in Evangelion they're freaking interfaced with them on a neurological level. Evangelion mechs aren't "mechs", they're lifeforms, that are genetically similar to the pilots. They aren't technology that you can just "set a pain threshhold", that's not how that works. Robotech? Sure, pilot shouldn't feel the mech's pain, but Evangelion actually has a very good, sci-fi lore reason.

The UK has mild summers with average temperatures between 55°F (13°C) and 75°F (24°C), and winters that can last up to five months. Some say that the UK's climate doesn't warrant the investment in air conditioning.
Many UK homes are older than those in the US, and were built to retain warmth rather than expel it. It can be difficult and expensive to install air conditioning in older homes, especially if there are pre-existing electrical or hot water systems. It's also expensive to put them into British homes.

Tectone I know you'll never read this, but the UK is located in Europe (that's a continent not a country as I'm sure you'd ask) along the east Atlantic coastline so it has a greater humidity due to the oceanic influence. This basically means that when you sweat in the UK, it doesn't evaporate, and instead clings and insulates your body which makes it harder to lose heat.
We also have fair or cold weather for most of the year, especially in the past so like Asmon said it isn't worth buying an entire AC unit or internal system to use it for the two or three weeks or warm weather we get a year. Also, our houses are made of brick, brick soaks up the heat during a long hot summer day and hold onto it. I do agree that people over-react and it's rare we get anything as deadly as what have recently been seen in Greece or Italy but its a different kind of heat that sweaty white folk in the UK aren't really good at dealing with.

The humidity in florida is about the same as the humidity in coastal england, they can both hit about 80-90% humidity, the UK also builds all it's buildings out of brick, any building made out of wood is considered none standard construction.
Alot of buildings in the UK are old as fuck too, alot of buildings that either survived or pre dates the blitz you're not allowed to touch.
Then there's the fact that the most common housing is terrace which doesn't really give you the room for AC.
Also the general public doesn't panic in that level of heat, the NHS and Government do. As they know everyone is going down the pub and is going to be shit faced.

Germany is like that, we have at most 2-4 weeks in a year that are really hot,
and no that's not how humidity works, 100% humidity means that the air is fully saturated with water vapor, it can't get any more moist. it doesn't mean the air is water, just that it's at max capacity (which btw is dependent on temperature, so 100% humidity at a higher temperature means there is more water vapor in the air than at lower temps)

100% humidity is known as the dew point. It's the temperature at which the air is completely saturated with moisture and as it cools further the dew that forms is the moisture the air can no longer hold (hot air can hold more moisture).
Look up wet bulb events if you want to know why 100% humidity can easily kill even at low relatively temperatures like 80 degrees. Sweating only works if it can evaporate, which it cannot if the air is fully saturated, which leads to overheating and ultimately death is severe cases.
Edit: Wet bulb temperature becomes deadly at 88 degrees and not 80.

The issue with the UK is that we never needed AC until maybe the last decade. Our houses are built to keep heat *in* because we're well into the northern hemisphere, it gets cold here. But lately the summer temps are going up, and with the high humidity it feels worse. The reason we don't have AC that comes with the houses because it's expensive as fuck, and in new builds? Who knows. Who the fuck here can afford a new house anyway.
On an anecdotal note, met people who lived in Asia who felt the heat here felt worse than over there. Never understood what they meant myself as it's like 30c-40c there sometimes, so I guess the humidity really does make it that much worse lol

Humidity is not "air is water". It's how much water can dissolve into air until it cannot anymore. When humidity is at 100% - the rest of the water becomes vapor or just water.
So 100% humidity means it's so humid that it can't get any more humid.
It is also relative to temperature. Hot air can take in more water than cold one. That's why when it's cold outside and you breathe out your high-humidity warm air from your lungs - it cools down and becomes vapor. Because cold air can't hold all of that humidity. But you don't breathe vapor in a warm room or in the summer, even though the air in your lungs is just as wet. That's because at those temperatures it's below 100%.

Well, no Humidity is the amount of water currently present in the air, how much you can dissolve into the air is not the same thing but a general rule is you can up until 100% albeit this is rare, when you reach 100% saturation the air and water separate.

The visor thing for firefly is due to escalation of war tech - no matter how powerful your weapons are, they are dangerous if fallen in enemies hands or intercepted to the benefit of your enemies. So you have to have a lot of safeties to prevent such situations. I believe there was a whole Genius Society/Penacony questline regarding a great example of this.
The swarm was extremely advanced (think Tyranids from WH40K) where you dont want your weapons to end up intercepted to facilitate their invasion. You will need safeties. The visor thing was one such extremely applicable logical military step that was circumvented by the soldier's heroic deed.

Upper 90% humidity and homes designed to keep heat in, make it way worse. There are also no "escapes" from this since shops, pubs etc... don't have ac. For the "why not just get ac" question, the "wave" in heat wave, ultimately answers this. It's a short burst of higher than average heat, not a common occurrence, so investing in ac, for a few hot weeks a year, is not worth it. A "wave" of heat higher than normal, will affect places not used to it more than somewhere that seasonally smashes through that temperature, it's really just that simple.

100% humidity is real. Relative humidity is a percentage that measures how much water vapor, or invisible gas, is in the air at a given temperature. When the air is saturated with water vapor, it reaches its dew point and has a relative humidity of 100%. At this point, the air can't hold any more water in gas form. If the air cools further, the water vapor will condense into liquid form, usually as fog or precipitation.

It's well known that the states is a AC country. Most countries in europe dont have AC due to it being very inefficient and you dont use it almost at all. So when random heat waves comes its hell, because we don't built houses generally for hot climates, we build houses with isolation to retain heat and save on energy costs for warming it up.
It's different cultures, climates and settings. Like you said you guys kind handle snow which is super easy if you have proper tires, but we dont hassle you about that.

The handles are there for two functions. First, to give the pilots something to hold, as it would be hard to get used to piloting something with just your mind without something you can hold onto, all we can control is done via our hands and feet (driving, even remote controlled toys).
