this song reminds me very much of my dad, he was born in a poor family and his dad never gave him the love he deserved, he worked his ass off when he was a kid to help with everything and at the time and also studying to become a doctor
he got 1st place in 4 universities from 5000 people and he still kept going and studying, eventually he became a doctor and got his first wife who he had 4 kids with
she cheated on him because she said he worked to much and he never had time for her, after that she dropped him out of his own house
a lot more time later he found my mom, and with her i came out, mom wasnt pleased with my dad she also cheated on him beacuse he didnt have a lot of time so he went and rented a room in an apartment and stayed there for almost 6 years still working and still providing for me and his 4 other kids
they always ask him for more money even though these kids are almost 30 yo and they dont treat him very good because they see him as someone who abandoned them
i always go see my dad and i know he loves me and i also love him but i wish someday he can find a good person to be with or just find happiness, my dad at the time has depression and im probably the only one who keeps him from seing the end

I've been thinking a little bit about this song recently. Many people cannot tell if they are sad or happy. We have a lively rhythm, but a thin voice like you're about to cry. This perfectly represents the fact that the robot cannot feel emotions, leaving it ambiguous what it is thinking. Even being alone in the world and with his drums running out, his voice doesn't change. Feelings don't change. It's only when he starts hanging up that we can feel some of his emotion as he "dies". Really true to the phrase "Program do work and not to feel". It is neither sad nor happy. Neither excited nor depressed. It's a robot's simple journey back to its creator. Beautiful.
This makes me think of how my Minecraft dog from 5 years ago would feel...

I think the creator of the robot was testing it. Why else would it have two pictures of its creator when it wakes up in the dump?
Story: Robot is lost and/or thrown away. Robot awakes, trying to find his creator, making a doggo friend along the way. Robot makes his way to his creator’s hometown, before running out of battery next to a market. However, robot and doggo are found by the creator, robot is fixed, and doggo has a new home. The end.

I felt more emotions in this video than in lots of movies
If you look at the coding at the beginning, it shows that its an unexpected reboot, meaning that the creator didn't intend for the robot to ever function again. It also states that its vision is working, all the parts are in order, and its working well, however the memory load is failed, which is why the pictures are the only reason that they remember the creator. On top of that, it also shows that the time left for operating is 48 hours, which im assuming means how much battery it has left. These are all really neat touches, good job kusam!

I haven't seen this since I first stumbled on the original music video by Louie Zoong. Made me cry a bit from how bittersweet it - especially the end when the robot powers down, but the son finds him as the last lyrics play - it really hit me hard, since I thought about how it applied to my life and my family - my family, because of intergenerational trauma and envy, has been programmed to work and not to feel, and that's something I'm terrified of becoming; it's something I actively try not to be, as I hold onto my emotions, no matter how many times I get criticized for being "too sensitive."
This beautiful animation of yours (and of course, Louie's original song) is truly timeless, and I thank you for taking the time and effort to create this short film 🥺💖😊

I revisit this channel every once and a while just to rewatch these videos but I come specifically for this video. To just rewatch it and then to just binge any of the new stuff I see. On a side note though theres so much life in these animations. I love the art style and I cant get enough of it it's so oddly nostalgic and just genuinely nice to look at.
