Thanks for the help tommy needed to upgrade mines 👍🏼
thanks man! been looking for a solid bushing install. thank u!
Your welcome!
I'm going with the poly instead of solid AL ones like yours & i noticed you didn't lube the bushings up.i was looking at some energy suspension bushings that come with bushing lubricant as well, is that only for rubber or poly bushings? also could i op to use the 3m silicone paste instead of the lube ? since the main prob with the rubber bushings is that the petroleum in traditional lubes dry it out?
I was going to get energy bushings for when I do my b swap.. seeing this makes me want to try these.. good video Im from Canada
+Abe Penner These are definitely wayyyyy better than energy suspension bushings. And thank you :D
Man I gotta say I love your little Civic. It's got quite a bit of character! Should do a walk around I'd love to see that. Cheers m8 keep up the good work! :D
Thanks man! Walkaround is in my newer videos
the bolt that holds the single bushing closer to the trans is rounded out from the previous owner, anyone have some helpful tips? it's on a b16a in an eg and my manifold is in the way of the bolt so I can't get power tools in there :(
How long are the shifter linkage bolt i know they 12mm ?
So many videos on changing these bushings. These bushings are not the cause of play in the shifter. It comes from the joint between the actual shifter and the linkage. There are several rubber components in that joint alone.
ur vtec was leaking. Mine had a leak too but turns out it wasnt the gasket but the pcv valve. PCVs get overlooked a LOT in civics. I suggest u replace it.
Those are gear stabiliser bushes. At FASTLINKS we offer bushes for the universal joint and the OEM gear lever to remove almost all of the play from you gear lever
Good video Son. Man I haven't worked on my 4dr civic ever since I got my Element 😔
I've never seen that type of shifter joint before. Don't understand it but whatever floats your boat they say haha.
+Rivera E Thanks brother, and they just came out with it haha, way better than the energy suspension poly ones! And pretty much :D
ATG suggests to buy Prothane 8-1602 Red Shifter Stabilizer Bushing Kit over Dime's.
ATG's has more forgiving than Dime's. You don't want that to be too stiff. A little play is good.
But buying from Honda or rubber bushing is always better. Because it can absorb the shock up to 9 years.
ATG said if you have Dime's expect transmission or oil leaks or transmission problems after 2.5 years.
Did you not need to put grease on front shifter bushings?
Hey guys my car left me stranded last night. It's a 91 Integra. Shift bushing bold by the engine must have fallen off because the thing was hanging. Does anyone know the size and thread of that thing? I really need it asap
I follow you on Instagram. I have ES shifter bushings in my integra right now, but I'm interested in these. Is there a fair amount of rattle and vibration with the solid bushings? I have the K tuned Pro Curcuit shifter and it rattles already. I just want to make sure the vibration won't be even greater after these. Thank you!
+Grant Davidson There is a little bit of vibration but its not noticable, but I highly recommend these bushings, you shifter goes into gear more smoothly.
Put some grease on that bolt from shifter.
I changed my bushings and the shifter is still very wobbly. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
You need the bushing that goes over the shifter ball; Honda #54110SH3003. Or new linkage if the selector joint is worn out.
What is the bushing at 2:03? Im trying to replace it now and dont know what exactly to ask for
That's the front shift linkage bushing. The kit comes with both. Unless you buy one only, ask for the front.
Your shift linkage bar(attached to bottom of shift lever) is upside down.
why would they make bushing in rubber by OEM and ES?? isn't there supposed to be some type of bushing rubber there to prevent transmission issue?
Yes. The shifter is mounted on a STABILIZER rod. The engine moves and that rod must move with it. By using solid aluminum bushings the rod will bend or crack the transmission housing where it connects to it at the front since there is no longer any flex from the bushings. Get the poly ones.
im interested in these for my car but its my daily. would you recommend these for daily use or not really? feedback would be great thanks dude nice video ✌🏽️
+JayyAwrr Definitely great for daily, I daily my car and had no issues with them whatsoever!
By the way did you notice a big difference because of Dime's bushings alone or would it be because you had pretty much new shift linkage with short shifter kit?
Huge difference, but only get the Dimes bushings if you have solid motor mounts!
LATOMMYLA Does that go for any solid shifter bushings? Need to have solid motor mounts too? So maybe energy would be a better solution for me considering I have stock motor mounts?
I didnt find my answer :( all i know solid mounts and any solid peice will eventually destroy a car even tho it makes the car feel so nice
Where can I find a solution for the linkage joint where the bitch pin is? PLEASE HELP
Hey my man! Been following your channel for a bit and wanted to know a update on your feelings towards this product? Looking to pick some up but want to pick your brain! Let me
Know!
I love them honestly, running it also on my new motor, make sure you have solid motor mounts before using them! If you aren't using them they will snap your linkage
Hi Tommy. Lol. Long time no see.
Haha, whats going on man!
LATOMMYLA I didn't know you had a YT channel, I was just creeping at car videos and saw your car in a still image so I clicked. lmao. I see you ever so often but opposite sides of the freeway. How's life!
Haha, well heres my channel haha!! And im good man, still working and making videos!
That front bushing is a fucking bitch to install. For me getting it back into the spot to bolt it in was a nightmare. Had to hammer it back in and then had to pry and hammer until the hole was lined up perfectly enough to get the bolt in. Mine did not move as smoothly as yours by any means.
Holy shit that stance is sexy at 0:32
Was this a D series
Congrats now your motor will translate vibrations to your transmission while its on gear driving down the road...
The motor is already bolted directly to the transmission.
web site looks like a trojan now
Great vid , the music in the background F$%$^# annoying
