  • Here is a bird's eye view of our farm in Brownsville, Oregon. Most of these are seasonal ponds that we drain and farm in the late spring and summer. Others are kept full for wild life habitat. Visit our website www.RiverRefugeSeed.com to learn more about our family run business.

This video shows what one man can do to improve habitat for waterfowl and many other species of wildlife. I met Dave Rogers in the 1980's when he had already started building some of these ponds and was raising wild rice. He has continued to acquire surrounding properties to expand the wetlands project near his home to over 500 acres. His grandsons and their families joined the business and with all of them now working on the properties, the business has grown to include raising all types of seeds for wetlands restoration and sold all over the country. More property was purchased nearer to my home and Dave and family have continued to restore wetlands there. They together have done more than anyone I know to benefit wildlife. They are an amazing family and accomplished so much. I'm so glad to have them as neighbors.
Thank You Dave and the Rogers family.

I wanted to mention what a great job Melissa Rogers has done in editing all of their videos. Great work Melissa and I look forward to the next videos.

Enjoyed video! Planted 15 acres of corn in West TN between a National Refuge and a WMA (Wildlife Management Area) this past Fall. Lots of ducks fly over and see it, but just not interested. Thought we might want to try something different next year!
