9:05 And here's another fun fact about that story: Maccu Piccu is not even a Mayan ruin, it's an Inca ruin.

A ruin in Peru doesn't represent a people native to Mexico? How odd, lol.

Believe me, it seems by design, on purpose, we have the exact same decline here in Europe. Dumbed down societies are easier to control, manipulate and lie to. Very sad 😢

Not so much a rewrite - but more the funding needs to be put back to where it was decades ago.

My family and I live in New Zealand but my mum and dad are from the UK and when they first visited NZ they did a big road trip around the two islands. One of the places they visited was the Waitomo caves (I think!). They signed up for this tour and ended up with several other groups of people. One of which was a group of Americans. At the end of the tour through the caves, the guide asked the group if they had any questions. One of the Americans piped up and asked the guide "How many UNDISCOVERED caves are there?" he asked the guide how many caves haven't been found..... The way Dad retells the story is that there was a beat of silence when Mum and he tried not to laugh before the guide just said a random number!

The " amount of times I have heard someone say, serve me first I am an American citizen" here in the UK. Being told I have to take dollars as they are the global currency!! The best being a young girl trying to get military discount in the UK because her Dad was in the military in the U.S.!! I had to say you are not in the U.S now. and you yourself aren't even in the military, why would you get discount in Europe!

The “black Irish” one reminds of the dumb “African American” label. Very few black people in America have ties with Africa and/ or they were actually born in America. In other countries they’re just British, French and so on. I still laugh when I hear that American crap.

An American once told me that I disliked America because I was just jealous at him, being an American while I'm not.
I told him that I don't even want to be found dead in his country.
    He reacted with "See?"

I once had a liver infection that's now completely cured. If I was American the cure would have cost me somewhere between 30 and 50 thousand US Dollars. What's the price of freedom? One rotten liver.

My mum's dad came from Donnegal and I'd never call myself Irish (mainly because I'm not). Every Septic with a Scottish surname claims to be related to Robert Bruce. By American logic I'm the king of Scotland because my before my dad's mum married my grandad her surname was Stewart and the Stewarts are the true royal bloodline of Scotland. Hey Charlie, I want my fucking stone back.
Lol, taxi from Mexico to Peru would probably cost tens of thousands of dollars, getting stuck in the Darian Straight would be rather bothersome though.

I'm a Filipina and love watching TikTok and there's a bunch of Filipinos that are dumbfounded because some are saying that we are not Asian and stop claiming we are Asians, like WTF!

2:34 nah we just kinda expect that. If an American is asking dumb sh*t like that i'd just correct them. If they still insist they are right after that then i'll leave it at that. Either that or i'll just laugh in front of them and then leave, depends on my mood.

7:07 To be fair, accencts can be deceivingly similar. Had a man that had a french sounding accent. When i ask about his accent, turns out he was from Iran. He had a lot of people think he was from france and we had a great conversation about how beautiful and diverse the nature/climate in Iran is.

The thing is, to me at least, that people often say to me that I speak with different accent every few sentences.
It's because most of English pronacanoution I know from watching movies and CZcams, so my brain just mimicks the sound
This is actually hilarious when people think I must be British imitating American accent when I am in fact Polish speaking just every English I ever learned at once lol

    • @VelkanAngels
      @VelkanAngels Před 11 měsíci +1

The easiest solution is to just not state what you think the person's accent is, as if you know it for a fact, when you don't xP. Like the person saying "oh, I love your Chinese accent" to the French woman could've just said "oh, I love your accent" and then maybe asked "where are you from?". Once you make statements/assertions from a place of ignorance as opposed to knowledge, you are definitely liable for mockary if you assume/assert incorrectly.

To be fair, its just some ppl in general. Ive been living in Germany now for over a decade and i have germans try to explain "real english" to me and how to pronounce it properly sometimes. The thing is, i am irish (obviously with an irish acsent) and they think american is english. Pll are ignorant all over the world, dont stress americans!
