  • WORK PERFORMED
    - Drone inspection of chimney exterior
    - Reporting of observed deterioration
    - Partial removal of breeching ducts for access
    - Complete chimney demolition
    SUMMARY
Industrial Access performed a drone inspection on a decommissioned brick chimney. The structure was found to be in very poor condition, with brickwork severely cracking and crumbling, posing an active falling object hazard. Later, the client contracted Industrial Access again to perform chimney demolition services. The drone inspection allowed Industrial Access to safely and quickly determine the structure’s situation and help the client develop the best strategy for the chimney moving forward.
TIME: 1 day for inspection, 4-5 weeks for demolition
    COST: Utilized cost-effective solutions
SAFETY: Completed with no safety compromises

That looks like a job for Fred Dibnah, he could do that man alone with some timber and a box of matches, AH the good old days before public and work place safety!

I saw this video......and thought why all the cranes and cherry pickers.....
Fred would of done that, half the price more safely...and in half the time.
      Well done H&S....
What a bubble wrap place we work in now.
      Paper work safes lives now
In Fred's days paper work set fire to bloody chimney.

He'd likely be disappointed at how badly maintained this was, though. Most of the ones he was toppling could have lasted another hundred years in use.

Guess we'll just ruin this video footage by dubbing in some truly irritating, obnoxious, and distracting background crappy-ass "music". Well done mates!

Very poor editing, clips too damn short. By the time ur eye’s focus on location on clip it has changed to next clip. Plus reading texts, when done, clip changes. He does have great videos shots.

Should run a competition - How many hits with Fred’s lump hammer did it take to knock the bricks out of the chimney to take it right down? Must e an arm wrestling champion now! Seriously though good to see it safely taken down, not a cheap exercise either!

Poofs I tell thee, Fred Dibnah would've been up that on a set of wooden ladders and had it down in a week.
I bet some bloke in a suit with a hard hat, hi viz and a BMW probably took the credit for the work on that.

It could have fallen over without help in a high wind: I've never seen such a slender chimney skin! Only two bricks thick at the top and only four or five at the base!!!

The chimney had no vortex shedding bands (at least until the 60's) and the stresses on the brickwork joints are evident

It's a shame that this old chimney had to be torn down, but it is in disgraceful shape. Was it subject to earthquakes or just very badly constructed? The type of brick seems like the type to crack easily, as shown at the crown.

@@Clowningabout001 True, but there are many things older than this in my country that are holding up. There's a. Church in my town that is 1000 years old, for example as well as various buildings 500 and less. My town isn't anything special either.

😂 yeah buddy trust me all buildings need maintenance. If you abandoned even a modern house it would look shabby pretty quickly. All those old buildings in your town have been regularly looked after and maintained by someone, as nature will quickly reclaim anything man has abandoned.
