    One other positive of the E8 is that it uses the new milk cleaning system. You just put the container in place and the machine does the rest. There are more steps with the S8 (older style cleaning). Having said that we ordered the S8 for our daughter.

    Nice comparison and information, thank you! The E8 is the clear winner for me.

    Great comparison! I'm deciding between the E8 and S8 now as my old F7 (probably 15 years old) is dying. Probably a stupid question, but is there a button on either for just a plain "coffee"? Or is that essentially what an americano is? My F7 seems to make regular coffee like the S8 made the americano you showed, and I'm hoping to not have a shot of espresso followed by separate hot water, like the E8.

    Doesn't the E8 have a self cleaning feature that the S8 does not have?

    • @FaemaCanada
      @FaemaCanada  Před 2 lety +3

      Hi William, thank you for your question! 😀
      Both machines are self-cleaning. With the E8, however, the machine pulls water from its water tank during milk system cleaning. With the S8, it is done by the user.

    • @FaemaCanada
      @FaemaCanada  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Sonja! Our favourite is homogenized milk. However, any milk works in the machine (except for coconut due to its very thick texture) 😀

      @@rhulcy Yes. Its more important too watch how much protein it has, than fat. The foaming comes from protein. I am using 0.5% fat with 4% protein. So my cappuchino only has 20-25callories a glass.

    Well you can have your own Profile on your App with the E8. S8 comes with the Wife Stick, E8 does not. You have to buy it for 20€.
    But also the most important that : E8 does cost 60% less. And has the same breaving system. I dont see the reason to invest 600$ more just to have the other milk system and touch screen.
    And Americano without fresh water is just a normal Coffee. Its not even the same taste. Cause extracting coffee through the puck taste more bitter. It has to be the reason why Espresso is made from 35-40ml. For me having the fresh hot water is more gamebreaking than the milk system.

    • @FaemaCanada
      @FaemaCanada  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi! Thank you for your question!
      The improvements brought in with the E8 might not be noticeable to every palate when compared to the S8, but it is objectively a more advanced brew technology, especially in comparison to prior units.
      If you’d like some more details about how the two machines differ, please don’t hesitate contacting our ever helpful sales team. Happy brewing! 😁

    I bought the E8 based on your previous video. Can I buy and replace the milk frother with the Jura Professional Fine Foam Frother G2 (S8 frother) so that I can have steamed and frothed milk?
    I would like to have steamed milk to prepare flat white and cafe au lait (yes, I know the milk is not technically scalded for the cafe' au lait)

    • @FaemaCanada
      @FaemaCanada  Před 2 lety +2

      @FaemaCanada  Před rokem

      Hi Fabio, thank you for your question! You can use filtered water and opt to descale the machine instead. Distilled water is not really recommended, since the machine still needs to register the mineral content in the water used. (it's also better for the taste =)

      Hi Sonja! Any kind of coffee works in the machine. Therefore, you can experiment with different brands & blends.
      We don't recommend *dark roast/flavoured beans* that are oily (ex. french roast). Also, all coffees that we carry can be used in the Jura machines. Visit one of our showrooms, if you'd like to try 😀

      The brands are work and taste best for you))) I personally only using fresh beans from local small personal roast shops. Having 1 month roasted beans with best quali and normal W/e lavazza beans makes huge difference. The reason is the grocery beans are more darker is, that you dont need good rare beans for it. The taste of the fruit and the sweet and sour is losing ar dark roast. Yeah, you need to pay more for better quality beans. But its not a huge almount.
      So Lavazza beans cost 15€ 1kg, and good local beans are like 22-25€. So its only 5cent more per cup. But the taste is like 10 times better.
