    I’m surprised Gail did not mention the automatic milk system cleaning function on the Jura S8 and instead recommends users to take apart the milk tube and frother to soak overnight in a milk cleaning solution, which is not indicated by official Jura cleaning videos. And the Jura S8 DOES allow users to customize drinks to their preferences and save it as individual profiles. In fact, up to 30 different profiles can be saved onto the Jura S8.

    which espresso taste better (or brings out intended original flavor from the coffee beans), Xelsis or Jura S8? Thanks.

    A good review but 'vs' implies a direct comparison and recommendation of which to buy and why. That's what I was looking for

    Saeco is coming hard for jura. And the extra cherry on top “ the Italian design. I’m going Saeco. Been leaning this way for years watched every video this channel and whole latte love talk about. Like this channel most with Gail. Ready to finally pull the trigger on this machine. I’m excited. I can finally let go of this ocd project. And taking 3 years to reasearch and a coffe video folder on CZcams with over 1000 videos I’m glad I finally have made a decision

    I think that the Xelsis you can make 2 milk drinks in the same time and in the Jura not, because it has a separate orifice for it, am i right?

    Hi, thanks for the review. What about the drinks? How does it compare for espresso shots and milk/foam quality?

      That question if anything is essential to a review. I have had a Jura and the coffee from it (espresso) is superb.

    Hi, enjoy your channel. I'm thinking of purchasing a coffee unit for my son for Christmas. I'm a little overwhelmed as to all the choices out there. Can you narrow down for me the best bang for your buck? I know he's been looking at the saeco and breville models. Wants a machine that does EVERYTHING...froths, steams, heats, grinds etc. Thanks!

    Wow one a piece of metal in Jura, we have to emphasize it! Poor plastic design emulating aluminium. Very expensive coffe makers, cheap plastic, poor coffee.... I want to choose something between Saeco Xelsis 7685 or / Jura E8 Platin (there are two strips of plastic infront in color of platin- no platin) or /Siemens EQ.6 plus s700 TE657319... Saeco Xelsis would be the winner but it is very noisy during melting and preparing caffe....It is noisy when takes milk to make latte.. it sounds like tractor...
    Is there any method to silence this machine??

  • @BenBethelAZ

    Wonderful and thank you so much - I currently have a Jura Giga W3 I have for "home use only" - at almost $6000 it's an expensive machine, I don't like how much plastic it has, the milk cleaning system isn't really perfect, there is a metal piece that broke, I've sent it in once already, and need to send it in again as the coffee is coming out 'red' and separated.... but they want $600 to send it in just to look at it. Sooooo frustrating. I'll have it fixed, but will sell it on the secondary market for $4K and instead am buying the Xelsis today.... thanks for this review.

  • @JeroenS935
    @JeroenS935 Před 3 lety +3

    Just to add; the water filter in the saeco does go to 5000 drinks before descaling, but it takes 8 filters.
    So 1 filter does 625 cups of coffee. Then you change to a next filter (no descaling needed between filter changes). Then after 8 filters (~5000 cups later) you need to descale the machine.
    A filter will cost you €20, which is about $25. So that’s 5000 cups but also €160 or $200 later.

    It could be interesting to see how a shot of espresso and a milk based drink on each machine compare.
