“So Sad” is my favorite Everly Brothers/Don Everly song. I love it by the Everlys but after I heard the version on Don’s third solo album - “Brother Jukebox” - I was sold. I love to hear him sing this song on his own. I think he was very proud of this song - and rightly so. It’s a classic.

Yes, they were amazing as a duo, but their solo work really shows how wonderful their voices were on their own.
I prefer this song when Phil is singing with Don as the Everly Brothers.

Yes, So Sad is a magnificent song. The Everly version is superb but I love Don's heartfelt, solo delivery of this song.
