What a beautiful country you live in, I really enjoyed the ride. The thing that stood out the most for me was the wonderful condition of the roads. I'm in Minnesota USA and because of the harsh winter weather our roads are always full of potholes or spots that have been filled from one season to the next. it's really Quiet a mess. I love your shows and they inspire me so much. I'm going to try hand quilting again after watching you. Thank you Kate and Anna.

I’m fascinated by the expression “stone fences”, we just call them drystone walls - they have no cement sticking them together, thus “dry”.

I did watch a program once where they were building a stone wall ..it was fascinating and so clever. Just natural for me to think fence instead of wall 😆💐

The scenery and gates reminded my of James Herroit.
I believe the TV show based on Herriot's life, "All Creatures Great and Small" was filmed in Northumberland, where Kate lives. It airs here in America on PBS, our public broadcasting network. The scenery is just beautiful!
That is what came to my mind also, the hills and stone fences.
It was filmed in the Yorkshire Dales but has many similarities to Northumberland

I'm a big fan of the American TV show and man Mr Fred Rogers. When I was a young child in kindergarten I would watch Mr Rogers every afternoon and I considered him to be one of my friends. This episode reminded me of how Mr Rogers would take us on adventurers around his neighborhood. How lovely t see where you live. I talk to you while your cooking with ideas and you must hear me because you usually do them which makes my husband laugh. When I was young my grandmother and my mum use to glue flowers together they did thousands every week and if they did to many I would throw them in the air what a naughty child lol no different now.

Given how far you are from your friends and acquaintances, I can't help but wonder how you even know anyone. After being shut in my 1756 house most of the time since March 2020, this ride through the countryside was a treat.
Thank you so much for ths trip with you in the English country roads! Brought back good memories from some years ago when me and two friends had a roadtirip tthrough England, continuing over the channel to France. Never fortget it!!!! Took some time to get used to driving on the "wrong" side of the road from a Norwegians point of view!!!!! Stayed in peoples homes bed and breakfast style. Realy loved it!!!

It's Monday morning for me here in the US and what a beautiful way to start my week. Your beautiful landscape is somewhat similar to the rural areas of New England here. I live in Connecticut but often drive through Rhode Island and up into Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine where there are winding back roads and scenic views. The combination of your Random Acts of Kindness with the music and the views is just wonderful. I hope you and Anna had a lovely day. Thank you for the scenic trip. When I was in England in 2008 we never made it out to the country side as we had planned. I traveled over with my kids and my Dad. I was a trip of a lifetime for me. Unfortunately my Dads health made it too difficult to do anything but day trips out of London, via bus or train. Lovely scenery in your region Kate. Thank you

Even though I am almost 40, I find you and your channel comforting and peaceful ... almost like being hugged from a grandmother or mother. I live my life similar to yours in a lot of ways. Just loved watching this tonight Jan 7th 2021. Very relaxing and enjoyable especially since I have not been able to leave my home or drive for a while. I just imagined I was in the car with you and Anna and it was nice seeing the countryside. Some of the scenery is very like parts of Northern Ireland. Thank you Kate.
