  • Disc Brake Conversion Kit - www.lugnut4x4.com
On this episode of Rock Rods Tech Tips Jake Burkey shows you how to do a disc brake conversion on a GM Corporate 14 bolt Full Float Rear axle. A lucky father and son won our Facebook giveaway contest and brought their rock crawler jeep to the shop for the install. We helped them get rid of those clunky drum brakes for good. Big Thanks to Lugnut4x4 for allowing us to do this install and giveaway. Check them out for all of your disc brake swap needs.

Good vid. People should also be aware a different or adjustable proportioning valve is needed (to reduce fluid flow to rear brakes)
    Keep on truckin'!

This is actually a balanced system so unless you go with the bigger brakes you should be good to go for an offroad setup. Learn more at www.lugnut4x4.com

I stand corrected. Thank you. I guess I should learn more about rock crawlers before I post. I learned the hard way when I did the switch in my square body chevy truck. Keep up the good work!

No worries man. We are here to help. Many people run into this problem when swapping to bigger calipers. It can usually be remedied by a bigger bore master cylinder though. Thanks for watching.

A big piston on front, 3/4 heavy duty. A 3/4 normal duty or a 1/2 ton caliper.
On rear. Should balance out. ??

BustedKnuckleVideo also where should I by fuel? Everytime I buy racing fuel it is different blend? So I have to tune my engine every race? That don't work. It's messed up. I need the same blend of fuel every time I race otherwise it's impossible to tune my engine. Any suggestions?
