On my maddening run i could only tank them with Louis, even using Yunaka + Corrin they had 100% chance to hit, and killing them by going in with Sigurd wasn't working like in hard mode cause i need several attacks just to kill one
@@jerry3115 Well at least with a tank it goes faster, and i had to throw Louis in the middle to get the item from the running guys, and he survived the 3 ballista with around 5 hp left x)
@@bloodust7356 you can bait all three at once with Lyn doubles or bonded shield using the proper positioning, it's just as fast. Also if speed is a concern you really can just warp
I was playing on Easy since this was my first FE game, so I just had Lapis, who I made into a Wyvern Knight, tank all the damage from the one next to leaf, had Chloé and Ivy heal her, and then just had all three of them fly over the river to cheese Lief with them.
Is nobody talking about Framme being in a magic class, paired with Emblem Sigurd, and is using Bolganone? Wait a minute... We got a fire tome on the hands of the one currently holding the Ring of the Holy Knight... *_cue realization and mind blown_*
I just give elixirs to Alear and have them force the ballistae to waste their shots one by one before moving in to deal with Leif. This map is very easy if you just send in a wolf-knight Alear by themself with no allies because only the cavalry actually pursue them in the first bit of the map.
I used Louis with Sigurd and Etie with Lyn to clear them and then manned them with Etie and lured Leif back to the bridge he destroyed and she onebanged every mageknight coming along with him
I let some of therm just use their ammo while healing. The one in the north however; I had Wyvern Jade with Byleth. I *danced* to it and just killed it with my fliers.
Me: *sends Warrior Anna, or well, anyone with bloated health, and just lets them hit them while chugging elixirs* Apart from quickly dashing for the speedwing, i have no reason to not just wait em out.
I just yeeted my whole team on the middle Island with AOE rewarp and rescue and Wyvern Kagetsu+Sigurd to kill farther balistae(he has just enough mov to reach them with a dancer), do be careful as the killing the balistae that is close to paladin reinforcements point will trigger the destruction of bridge and make Leif and mage knights move.
Easy. Wait out the ballista by tanking them with a General (i.e Louis), wall the bridge until reinforcements run out, tank the next set of ballista the same way, and then it's just Leif and his sages, the latter of which can be kited and killed easily with a powerful physical unit with Sigurd's Overdrive (which for me was also Louis), after which everyone else dogpiles the former. Boring and tedious, but that's how.
you can also just put a covert unit in the forest where all the ballistae ranges overlap and use the Corrin ring to set up fog to dodge tank them until they run out.

Warp skipping is literally the best way to deal with any map in the game

You can use Lyn doubles or chain guard strats to drain the ballistae super easily, no need for a tank at all

Personally, I just had Alear face-tank them and healed her on player phase while she and Yunaka slowly approached and deleted the archers

I did something pretty similar. This is the map where it dawned on me that you can use AOE rewarp

I used a healer and put two tanky units there and healed them after the hit
I just use Soren and lucina and make all atk a bond shield that they can’t hurt ;)
I didn't even try this, i just used a covert lyn to chip leif into charging my army and just held the line until i could end him.
I like to astra storm the speedwing guy with a unit that has sufficient str and take it slow.
That's a lot of effort to achieve the same result as "Call Doubles" and just abusing that

I used chain guards from qi adepts to bait the ballista after grabbing tbe speedwing personally
you can also use lyn's phantom doubles to perfectly drain the ballistae
Lucina chain guard is an option. 100% proc if you use a qi adept.
