  • Testing out the new 2024 KTM 350XCF Factory Edition. In the past I felt the 350's were a bit too much in tight single track but this new bike has very smooth and easy to control power. Tons of torque on this motor lets the bike tractor up steep climbs while maintaining traction. The new chassis and suspension are great as well. Being the factory edition it comes with an FMF pipe, some upgraded components and some bling parts. It doesn't however, have a fan which you certainly will need to add on this bike.
Thanks to ‪@thesmoness‬ for letting me test the bike out.

I know a lot of people don't like them but I absolutely love my rekluse on my 300. I'm an older fellow so it's a bit of a crutch but I won't ride a bike without one. Glad you like the 350, saw a similar review on the same bike. Might consider one next time. I've always loved 4 strokes. My old 450 just got to be too much and the switch to a 300 2 stroke has been awesome.

Afternoon Greg, I’ve had 3 different 350 over time. I’d recommend that your friend use 6 silver springs in that Rekluse. That will give the bike the best clutch response, it will also make it retain hook up down hill until almost idle. Then ride it like the Rekluse is not there. You’ll love it even more. 😊

The new-gen KTM motor and chassis is legit - in all trims. The '24 bikes with their closed cartridge forks make them even better. I have a '23 350 XC-F alongside a '24 300 XC-W and if it weren't for the AER fork, the 350 would be an excellent option for a do-all woods bike.

Agree. All the talk about how stiff the frame is I don’t get. It feels great to me and honestly, 95% of us probably can’t really feel the difference in the flex the frame has. The new CC forks are fantastic.

My buddy just got a 2023 FX350 (same motor) and yes vastly improved on the power delivery. The old 350's I rode were all mid to top on power and weak on the bottom which makes them not so great in the tight twisty stuff. The new motor seems just about perfect for just about anything. Should tighten up the Rekluse. Mine rarely freewheel

Great review as usual. Good to hear some positive feedback about the new chassis from an experienced and highly competent rider. 350s are great but at 73kg and 51yrs of age I'm starting to think 250f. Would like to see you review a 250f but they aren't that popular for enduro. The new ones are just so powerful compared with the old XRs etc from back in the day. Thanks for the reviews.

That rekluse is set up wrong i can tell by how early it signs off when youre free wheeling and talking about it over heating, hes gotta put the softest softest springs in there turn the idle up and get the 450 spring washer so it only unlocks with the back wheel locked and use the clutch regularly. Also if you ride them that low its gonna over heat.

  • @myronstambaugh761

The KTM 350 is likely the most versatile model every produced. With a rekluse it looked docile and sedate on those low-speed single-tracks. Yet, the bike is a BEAST in open high-speed situations like GNCC or NEPG. When pro-racer Josh Toth was asked if he had to choose just one bike what would it be (Toth races everything discipline: hard-enduro, motocross, national enduro, sprint enduro, and cross country) he said it would have to be the 350.

  • @williamcrotts7054

Try it in the hot map with the traction control "ON", she's a sweetie. This bike needs a rekluse if you ride in the tech. Don't like them on a 2 stroke but they rock on the 350.

I'm picking one up next month, just like that one. Moving from my 2022 450sxf FE. Also adding Rekluse and fan, steering dampener. My question is what did you think about the gearing? I do ride MX track 1-2 times a month and I have seen some saying to go up to a 49 on the rear, so third is the gear, curious to see what you thought of gearing.

    • @PNWEnduro

I would 100% state that the only reason you felt that bike was so soft was because it had the recluse. I rode several 350s over the years and thought they were all slugs until the new one that came in 2023 and these new ones are beasts. You put a recluse on one just like with a 450 and it tames them right down.

    • @PNWEnduro

A properly set up Rekluse absolutely transforms the 350. All positive except for the freewheeling backwards down hills, but you will quickly learn to keep a little throttle applied on failed hill climbs.
