@@glen7137 you said it right, HE won two championships. He didn’t have any help for real. You know I grew up in the era of Dr. J, Magic, Michael and Bird. I didn’t really know much about Wilt, except for my father kept telling me that he was the greatest basketball player he had ever seen. I started watching him on CZcams. Once I saw how dominant he was then I started to research. This guy could benchpress 465 pounds when he was 59 years old. his athletic ability was unparalleled. I don’t think there’s ever been anybody who could do everything that he could do from long jump, to bench press, to high jump, to the shot put, even to his sprint speed. Seriously, I’ve never seen a better athlete. What most people don’t know is that about 60% of his points came off of fadeaway bank shots. We hear how he was playing against much smaller players but when you go back and look at the size of these people, there has only been 1 inch in growth among centers from the 60s till now. Larry Bird had the best basketball skills of anyone I’ve ever seen. With that said, it’s just hard to argue that anybody was ever as dominant as Wilt Chamberlain was.

You can make a Hall of Fame squad, possibly even 2 or 3, out of players who NEVER won a title. You could probably do that with the Dream Team alone. The championship teams Chamberlain led are still among the greatest teams ever assembled (66-67 Sixers, 71-72, 33-game win streak Lakers). The number of championships A PLAYER IS PART OF (championships are a team accomplishment, after all) wasn't such a big deal until Jordan won his six. Time and chance happen to everyone. Is Robert Horry a better player than Chamberlain or Jordan because he has more rings? Is a player who rode the bench and got more than two rings elevated to a status higher than Chamberlain? Last I knew, the Celtics are still having players inducted into the HOF from the Russell era. They were stacked from man 1 to man 12. I'm not anti-Jordan as much as I am pro-Chamberlain.

Nobody has as many 50 point games in their career as Wilt had in the 1961-62 season (45 50-point games).
Wilt had 7 consecutive 50 point games in the 1961-62 season, which is more than guys like Larry Bird, Jerry West, and Tracy McGrady had in their entire careers.
Wilt had a stretch of 12 50-point games in a 13 game stretch (the game he didn't score 50 he had 43). That's more 50-point games than Abdul-Jabbar and Iverson had in their careers, and tied with Steph Curry (as of the time of the video).

I’m not saying lebron over jordan or anything like that. But Lebron specifically has dealt with much more physical defensive tactics than jordan ever faced. Jordan was a finesse player and Lebron is a power guy. So naturally Lebron is going to take more punishment because he goes to the basket and tries to use his strength to finish through contact and he’s probably the best to ever do that aside from Shaq.

I already knew it was Wilt by a landslide.. but some of these names were surprising..Adrian Dantley was a quiet assassin.

I believe Sam jones held the Celtic franchise record of scoring 51 points in one game if that was his only 50 point game I don’t know

When you think about when the 3 point line was added, it's unfair to compare the old players to the new. Imagine how many more points the old players would have had with the benefit if a 3 point line.

the highest scorer in Philly 76 history is not Wilt, but rather Hal Greer- no 3 pt line for him either. Greer was a slashing 6-5 dynamo guard

You missed Jamal Murray. He had 2 in 3 days back in the 2020 playoffs versus the Jazz.

Gotta admit, I'm a little surprised Alex English only scored 50 twice.

Where did Wilt come from? I am convinced he was an alien. No way he is that far ahead and human.

I wasnt the most talented guy, had pretty good hops, played the passing lanes pretty well on defense,, got a steal here and there and average rebounder,,.. but If i got 20 in a game at the park,, i thought i was doing something,,, let be real, if u score 30 consistently for 82 games.. UR A BAD MAN. SO TO AVERAGE 50... !! CMON..
