The Runaways was the first film I've seen Kristen give a good, interesting performance in. She really became Joan Jett, and that "quiet intensity" suited her really well. Her manly voice even came in handy XD Pretty impressed, she was a great choice. Dakota Fanning was alright.

I'll be honest here I thought that casting Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett would be the worst casting choice in movie history. The last movie I saw was twilight and we all know how that turned out. It fucking sucked. So after Kristen's terrible performance in that pile of shit I never expected her to be convincing portal as the legendary Joan Jett. But then I saw the movie and the shock of my life. She fucking actually gave a good performance! She acted so well that as I watched the film I didn't see her as Kristen Stewart anymore I felt I was watching the real Joan jett all those years ago. It takes a really good actor to give that affect. It was probably the best performance shes ever done. I'll be fair to Kristen when shes not playing shallow little bitch bags like Bella from twilight she can be a good actor. She did a wonderful performance as Joan Jett and if she keeps up her good work I would like to see her many more movies in the future. But only if they're nothing like twilight.

I have to disagree. Bella was much more bubbly and sarcastic in the book. Kristen played it as if Bella was constipated. Kristen is a really great actress... I just think Catherine Hardwick destroyed Bella and Edward. By that point, Rob & Kristen already had an idea of the character because they performed under Catherine. And the characters were, by then, ruined.

Kristen is a fantastic actress in everything she has done! twiliter4lylfeify you may want to watch the whole movie of Twilight followed by the next 4 - she was great in all of them especially her transformation in the last 2. Personally I loved her as Bella but I also really love the Yellow Handkerchief, Adventure Land, the Cake Eaters, Snow White, Welcome to the Rileys, The Runaways and On the Road. Such a versatile actress who will be around for a long time!

Just a personal opinion. In the books Bella was portrayed as having more emotion and more depth to her character. Kristen Stewart didn't show much emotion or much depth to the character.

Best deal ever...I had a flyer and got in for $1.50...David Lee Roth had a shotgun with a powder load and told a kick ass story about a cheat'n wife and settling the score with a shotgun!!!!
K Stew's best performance, hands down. All of her previous roles have been stagnant and dull. Admittedly, I was nervous when I saw she was cast as Joan Jett. I was very impressed.
