What a dude! It’s a man ya’ll!

Absolutely loved the movie. I have watched it on Netflix a few times. I was a teenager in the 70’s growing up in The San Fernando Valley and the movie brought back a lot of memories.

That's crazy, I've seen little snippets of her saying that quote about flying across the room & killing someone for looking at a girl wrong so many xs and for some reason I always thought it had to do with The Runaways. But it makes more sense that it would be associated with this film. I just watched WTTR recently and absolutely loved it . Such wonderful acting from James Gandolfini, Kristen Stewart and Melissa Leo. This was a great interview as well. I used to dance (just dance, not the other stuff Mallory did) and there are certain things about those types of jobs that attract different types of women but for many, myself included, there is a kind of pain & reliving of trauma that attracts women to it and I felt I saw that in Mallory and in the way Kristen played her.

This interview is awkward. They all look uncomfortable. There are bright sides though...hmm..on second thought maybe just the lamp in the background.

I’m not a fan of kristen at all but I will say I was amazed by her performance. She captured Joan Jett perfectly and was an incredible match for the character

Interesting interview. If you watch the movie Kristen is very good in the role but to get into the mentality of an abandoned parentless 16 year old who prostitutes herself and has no sense of security or safety (she's at risk of being murdered or raped on the streets) must have very emotional for her. I think playing this role really changed her mindset and affected her emotionally and she gets a bit choked up and confused trying to explain how she feels. I can totally understand where she was going with her comment about getting angry at men looking at women wrong. If a strip club owner is willing to hire an underage girl and she knows that that girl will then humiliate herself and often be physically harmed and emotionally broken it would make you feel very protective of vulnerable young girls like the one she played having lived that experience herself in the movie.

Fascinating woman. I could listen to her talk all day. Her voice is almost a purr. I love it. She's so down to earth and humble too.
