The whole family's in the room, grandma, aunties, siblings, parents, they have been praying for this pretty little girl to have a miracle of hearing since she was born. The Mom must be filming, the sniffles are kind of a giveaway. This is a set-up testing session hooked up to a tone signal maker, she can't hear the room so she's still getting instructions by sign. The emotional response you always see is when it's connected for external hearing, and they the voices of their family and themselves. We don't see that part here. But it's emotional for them when it happens because deafness is so painfully isolating and limiting, so this technology is a miracle. She's got a whole life of opportunity in front of her now, the family clearly knows it.
I have a cochlear implant and I love it but I also know sign so I can switch between the hearing community and deaf community. I've had mine for 14 years
Well..that "hot-ness" someone is talking about is quite a rough way to describe the increased level of awareness experienced by all other human senses when one of them is missing..This girl has trained her eyes, her smile, all her facial muscles to convey emotions, ideas...feelings, That´s something absolutely and deeply connected to beauty...Deaf people smile more and better and have an enriched facial arsenal of gestures...
Cinnamon crunch The downvotes are from the deaf community. They are afraid of losing their culture. They don’t consider being deaf a disability. I taught deaf children. It is a severe disability!
michaelterry1000 thank you so much for the hearing people who want to talk with your hands to us .when I see people say thank you in sign language to me I feel I am not alone when am away from my deaf friends. ..
@@rubentrevino4742 My dad was a Union Printer and evidently many deaf guys became printers. One of his best friends was deaf and dad learned how to sign one and two handed. When I was a kid we went on vacation to Canada with his friend and his wife who was also deaf.
Yeah, if a person can't understand how massive the technology and the effect of these things have on people and society they don't deserve to write or speak on public forums..
Buddy has implants. Given that both of us have a bizarre sense of humor, he chose a marine them by have implant covers of Green and Red for Port and Starboard. I'm the Herring bag of the two so he's become very familiar with Navy terms of navigation. Often we get some Karen that says she is offended but that's where he signs back to me, she should take a long walk off a short plank
Can anyone that disliked this step up and give a coherent reason as to why you did so? seriously I wanna see your inner workings........and probably dissect you after that!
+Seth Delmar Where did you get the idea that disliking this video means something bad? It's just disliking, from whatever reasons. It's not like they killed your mother or something :P Not everyone is supposed to like that video. Especially that it is quite boring, because they just stand there and watch, they don't even make any sounds nor talk to her. And she is also like "whatevs" :P It's great that she can hear now, I'm happy for her. But is it something which requires instant like or doesn't deserve a dislike? You are making mountains out of molehills.
I am embarrassed for some of these people when I see their reaction .The children are one thing, but some of the reactions of the moms and some of the women are down right mortifying and disconcerting !
What is the result now? Do she hear, did the operation succeed, is she satisfied and successful today after 8-9 years? I am writing in the year 2021 and I would like to know the result, she is a calm and beautiful girl and this breaks my heart. with my respect
Sure someone's peepers are running long before any activity lol good on you love let it out, not all sorrows deserve tears and not all tears are due to sorrows.
Then do research. Though I didn't downvote it, and honestly a lot of people probably just disliked it because she doesn't seem to care. This is exactly how I think a family should react to a deaf child. Wait until the child is older, if they want it then get it. Most people are just upset about really little kids getting it.
Why are American teenagers getting the devices so late (based upon CZcams videos)? In countries with universal health care, they get them as babies. The costs of not doing this are huge.
Cause she doesn't understand jackshit :D she doesn't know how to "hear" english. She can read it, notices the voices, but doesn't get the word. Meanwhile the woman is explaining everything to her Family, a translator is translating everything into sign language so she knows whats going on but has to focus. Simple as that.
the whole family is there for her, hanging on every second, beautiful stuff. no one left behind, ever.
I am happy for you to receive a CI. I got mine 20 years ago. I have a video on my CI activation on my page from 1995.

Thank you Prof. Clark you truly were a great Australian inventer....just look what you have done.
It’s AMAZING! I was 64 yrs old when I received mine!
Good for you I cry almost everytime I watch this stuff. Can't imagine being deaf

I dnt want to sound nosey but cat u here all sounds
@@coreyscheaffer7257 Good lord.
Sign language is the most beautiful thing to watch. Dunno why but I can watch it all day even if I don't understand it.
Awww... Taylor! So happy for you! Why I'm just now coming across this video is beyond me! I hope you are adjusting well to having an implant.
These implants are amazing. It turned the old dears hair green. Nice Basin hair cut too.

..was thinkin that exact same thing...
YEEESSSSS! 💜
I think they were sold out for that show.
Yeah but she has 2 grandmas too many.
I must say,, what an absolutly stunningly beautiful girl.. I hope she is progressing well .
Save some of that empathy for the "ugly" ones too.
Bravo! What a wonderful experience for everyone in that room. Thank you.
these videos are great but a non crier needs to hold the cam lol
revz1373 Great comment :-D That´s my opinion too !
Hahaha I thought it made it even more brilliant!!!!!!!!
Nice. Would like to have seen more.
Her loved ones gathered for this magic event will have years to enjoy her ability to hear.
I think that 35 dislikes was hoping for her to cry,not everyone else...
Cinnamon crunch The downvotes are from the deaf community. They are afraid of losing their culture. They don’t consider being deaf a disability. I taught deaf children. It is a severe disability!
I think the families reaction is just as pricless.
This is a beautiful family
May I ask, how things developed until today?
Someone get that women a tissue, please.
wow such a beauty ! wow, and I hope you can hear well now ! love !
I have significant hearing loss….I was born this way…unless you go through this…you have no idea
the person holding the camera is crying 0.0
We can hear. Not everyone is deaf
Why's there no sound?
(ooops! I forgot! I'm deaf)
If a deaf girl like that was in my school I would run to the library to check out books on ASL

A lot of sniffling in that room. So annoying. Despite that such a beautiful girl, God Bless her
@ACP and a Merry Christmas to you as well jackass.
Other people have made the same comment.
@ACP That’s strange since you starting with the bitterness. Perhaps your feeding off of yourself.
@ACP I wasn’t trying to insult you. It appears you take everything as an insult and are quite bitter at life.
You are so adorable! ❤️🙏🏻
shes so cute!
Lots of love in that room. ♡
Wonder if she knows how much she is loved? BTW, get the camera operator some Kleenex...lol
So glad it worked for you. I reported the jerk that said it was boring. I really hate people being jerks like that.

Jeez this didn't age well, welcome to the internet of ten years later. Everyone's a jerk. 😅😅
GDAY ..I Waited,waited,..waaaaiiittttteeeed….., no hearing reaction…..perhaps next time.
She said there would only be between 3 and 5 beeps, but then gave her a 6 beeps, lol
It´s 2017 now. How does it work?
why you stopped recording...???
Now the real work begins....learning how to speak & relate signed words to the spoken word
Wow, this girl is so perfect!
Hoping all is well still young lady 🤗🤗🤗

Seth Delmar Those people are dead inside. They aren't worth your time my friend.
DigitalTwisted amen to that
+Seth Delmar: I didn't dislike it, but it could be due to the shaky camera making them feel nauseous.
+Seth Delmar Some people are just rude and disrespectful.

How many people need to be in the room? Me, my wife and the audi were it.
THIS is the kind of CI videos that don't make me mad. She's old enough that she knows what it does and made the decision herself.
Cochlear implant from Australia with love
I could not do those doctors jobs. I would be in tears all the time for good or bad reasons.
what a magic moment.

Very amoecione and beautiful lady God help her wait her family Sopport her very amazing
Ask deaf people to show 6 one handed : no problem
Standing room only. This a very beloved girl.🤗
That's got to be the best job in the world.
Não tem preço
الحمد لله على نعمة العافية
‘Tripod’ I rest my case.
Ithink you need a cochlea implant to hear the audio.
Teal hair?
Whoever is sniffing and snoting into the speaker, it's sorta ugly.
This video also needs more explanation. No one knows what's happening.
the dude saying i can hear something, nobody cares lol, its not your hearing test :D
He didn't say it, she did. He's interpreting. You see how she isn't looking at the lady who is talking to her?
How is it that none of these auditory technicians seem to be able to sign??!?
I was wondering the same
ansel elgort??
She's beautiful
Did she bring the whole village??
She looks like she could be related to Benjamin Jarvis.
Sure someone's peepers are running long before any activity lol good on you love let it out, not all sorrows deserve tears and not all tears are due to sorrows.
So I am guessing that the girl can not speak or make any kind of noise
So. Um, why you decided to get CI? Just curious
❤
So what actually happened?
+Peter Peter nothing , no reaction at all
240 down votes from the deaf culture. I don’t understand them.

If you're going to video something make sure you aren't snorting into the mic. 'Very distracting!
wow for a smart girl i did not even know she was deff but it is good that she is learning how to here every thing
i was just thinking the same thing! Got to marry a death girl !!
She’s lucky she can’t hear that annoying person sniffing
Gosh, a bit of a non event, thought she would be jumping of joy!

What is going on ?????? Stupet staff !!!!
Shes not a spectacle to gawk at
Shaking video
I feel bad, because people like us can't afford it
Too many people here it's just too nosy. Give her private sheesh. It like all wanna see her nake for first time. Glad she didn't cry haha suck to all.
166 Jamaicans
They all think it says “Dis I Like”
I'd be lying if I said this wasn't THE most boring cochlear implant video I've seen. Where's the unbridled joy? Where's the emotion?
+thejollyjumbuck; it's true it was not emotion, motive another sad and happy emotion are the HARD OF HEARINGS, and Deaf didn't happen!
WHAT
I heard emotion. But it was behind the camera.
