You nailed it on the head with the idea that “everything matters “. Aurora mentioned in an interview that her new album (and make no mistake, she is one of the few musical artists who still puts together cohesive “albums”) was built around those two words “everything matters”. Her lyrics are poetry but boy can she write a “hook”!

I strongly feel we humans have two "me". The true One called our "Self" with its abode in our "Heart" and the other one attached to our material body and its natural mind.
Auroras "me" in this song represent our Self, our "I am" and "you" by her side is is the imaginary "me" in our head. The car is our vehicle (body) To unite the two in a love affair is may the goal

The French lyrics translated to English (quite different lyrics from what Aurora is singing):
    [Outro: Pomme]
    Somewhere before dawn
When the light wants to see us
Somewhere in the world, a bird falls asleep
    Quietly, you and me
We will find in the night
Somewhere to put the flowers we have picked
    Leave before dawn

When the light wants to see us
Somewhere in the world a bird falls asleep

Pomme sings french in the end.
There are some people that believe she sings in the chorus with Aurora, but it’s layers of Auroras voice.
But you can actually hear Aurora singing with Pomme in the end🥰
This is an Aurora song, and she contacted Pomme to come in at the end of the song, and I’m pretty sure she wrote the french part.
Aurora made this album in an old castle in Norway, and once, for some hundred years ago, there lived a french man there. He loved art and music. So she contacted Pomme👍
    Great choice 🥰
I love this song, but I also love “A Dangerous Thing” and the other songs that I’ve heard from the album that’s releasing tomorrow 👏👏 I can’t wait ❤️

Actually I swear I hear Pomme in the chorus as well, there's a slightly different tone in the harmony that doesn't sound like Aurora. Very noticeable. Maybe its not but whatever it is I loved it.

Just looking through your Aurora reactions (again!) and it looks like you've not reacted to "Animal" yet. Would love to get your take on the meaning behind this one!

I'm sorry for you man, but this is not a valid interpretation. Life has no explicit meaning. To the best of our knowledge, we get born, live for a while, and do something and then we die. Then the solar system dies and is followed by the whole universe. Thus, nothing we did have no lasting consequence - the very definition of meaningless.
The correct way to interpret the text is by analyzing it. Then the conclusion is unavoidable. It consists of incoherent rants chained together by a few random thoughts. Typical when an artist desperately feels the need to produce something but has really nothing of value to share.

Maybe. But looking at the world and your life as something meaningful is a better way to live. Appreciation for life actually makes life beautiful. That's why art, culture, people, views and ideas are important. Yes, We are born and we die, but we can make a meaningful different to what we leave behind for others in that gap between life and death. So, again - maybe you're right, and maybe you're wrong. It doesn't hurt anyone to paint a vivid, possibly fictional but yet beautiful picture on a canvas that would otherwise just be blank and colourless. Why not.

Self-deception is a better way than accepting reality as it is? No wonder drugs are so popular.
