- three weeks ago I finished my first year as a berkeley MIDS student. in this year I took 4 courses:
- intro to python programming
- research design and data analysis
- data engineering
- statistics
they all presented their own challeges, but statistics was a different beast. I give you all the details about what's listed here and more in todays video.

Girlll I am in MIDS and am drowning in stats lol!! Any tips on how you handled work load? I played myself and took 3 classes together my first sem 😅

just kidding. but yeah 3 is a lot if you’re not doing the program full time. being a week ahead of the material is probably the best thing you can do(hard to do but once you do it life is so much easier). and watch the videos at 1.25-1.75 speed.
it’s going to be really hard no matter what though!
UC has a high price tag because it is the #1 public school on the planet, also number #1 school for data science
Hi, What's your undergrad? I am thinking of applying for MIDS but doesn't have any experience in coding/analytics. Not a STEM grad. What are the chances that I would be able to do fairly well in the program? Are there students in your cohort who are able to work and still are able to cope up with the workload? Thanks in advance.
my undergrad is computer science. i work full time. there are many people in the program who don’t come from stem backgrounds and work full time and still manage the workload. it’s not easy but it’s doable.
