  • 2010 was a classic case of so close, yet so far for Chicago. After all they were just one quarter away from making a Superbowl. Unfortunately, Jay Cutler got hurt, and after he left all momentum was lost.
Headed into 2011 there was just one question on everyone's mind. Could they finally get over the hump this time? Well sit back, and take a journey with me. This is the 2011 Chicago Bears.

To be fair to Trubisky if the Bears had chosen Mahomes in the 2017 draft he’d have washed out as well. Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, anyone would fall on their face as their QB.

People forget how good of a track we were on until the Cutler injury. Then all the bullshit and bad luck hit us at once. The fake spike in Oakland, the batted pass against KC, the Barber fumble in Denver, Johnny Knox’s career ending injury vs Seattle. That was a painful year to watch

People forget how critical forte was for the bears

Put Cutler on the 06 team we got a bowl

Cutler had six different offensive coordinators in nine years and when he came to Chicago, Mike Martz got rid of his best target Greg Olsen. Then he was expected to throw to project receivers like Devin Hester, Johnny Knox, and Earl Bennett. By the time Brandon Marshall came to town the offensive coordinator carousel was in full swing. The Bears management ruined him.

2010-2013 for the Bears was such a brutal time since they all those seasons showed promise but ended in gut punching fashion

  • @smasherjt

2011 and 2018 are by far the biggest gut punching loses I've witnessed as a bears fan. I was only 10 when they lost in the SB so don't remember much

Smokin Jay Cutler will forever have a warm place in my heart

  • @skeletonshorror5184

Cutler was great, but our organization hasn’t been able to manage any long term success since the Ditka era. 🐻⬇️

  • @lrkcm373

It’s honestly impressive how the Bears have consistently failed at getting a good QB. Even the Lions have had better QBs over the past decade.

  • @Philtration

As a Bears fan I will NEVER understand the hate for Jay Cutler while worshiping Jim McMahon.

Ah Jay Cutler. Little story. My mom gave me like $5 to get a book at school I had been begging for at the school book fair. When it was time to get the book my 6 year old self saw the holy grail. A Jay Cutler poster. I buy the Jay Cutler poster thinking it was going to be so cool to show my mom. She was pissed 😂. Mostly at the fact that it was Jay Cutler funny enough. Edit: I still love Cutty.

Loved your sum up of Tebow Mania. Best I’ve seen on that topic.

As a bears fan this season has haunted me for years what might have bee8

  • @bananapeel7636

The 2007, 2019, and 2011 seasons were some of the most brutal seasons to watch as a bear fan. We went into these seasons scorned from last years loss but still hopeful the team can pull it together. Just to have all that hope ripped away in the first few weeks of the season. This team perpetually has no backbone whatsoever, it’s truly sickening to watch.

Great video! I was at the Bears v Lions game in Chicago. We all had a fun afternoon.

  • @martyhogsed5172

I think you found your lane. I’d suggest you keep making videos like this. Great work! I’m subscribed now after this video. So let’s see what you got cooking for us next very excited

  • @theboyscanswim5619

Thanks for this video! That was a painful season. As a lifelong Bears fan, I was really feeling optimistic about this particular team until Cutler broke his thumb. It was as painful as any other Bears season.

  • @cubsbearsandbulls

You forgot to mention forte tearing his ACL and Johnny Knox’s career ending. Just brutal
