    Pella had a huge class action lawsuit and screwed a bunch of people over on aluminum clad wood rot. I know I’m in on it. And they don’t pay that much. They should pay 100 percent!

    This video was very much appreciated and answered several of my questions. Thank you. Getting separate bids from separate companies is a process (that often feels more onerous than it should) and each rep tells you why THEIR product is, of course, the best. I like the unbiased, factual comparison of these 2 products.

    Fantastic explanation that helped us to understand the differences in Pella window styles

    If you’re upset about the price point than either install them yourself, or buy the bulk-cheaply made windows from your local big box store.
    Pella is easily the way-to-go if you’re wanting quality products and a solid investment for stuff as important as windows and doors. At least in my opinion!

    Appreciate the transparency here. On the Impervia window, has the pricing changed much since you published this video? Also, any thoughts on how much pricing (including installation) could vary in other parts of the country, for instance a market like Washington, DC?

    From what I know Andersen and Pella are one the better brands, for people who want to go more niche and try European one though, I suggest Dako.

      Not outrages prices. Your just used to cheap things. It’s probably too much of a quality window for you to handle.

    Our Pella windows are vertical and crank open. We need parts to fix it, where do we find parts?

    what is the difference between replacement and new construction?

    • @christophertreese8937
      @christophertreese8937 Před rokem

      New construction has a nail fin on the sides to nail the window to the sheathing of the house. Replacement windows typically dont have that fin, and are attached with screws from inside the home into the framing directly. Great Question!

    I’ve been an executive home builder for 44 years. I’m a builder. Not a guy that sits in the truck and makes phone calls. I used pella windows one time on a job and pella had hundreds of class action lawsuits. My homeowner was one of many involved. Finally the state awarded the home owner a full refund on the windows and the cost of the new windows with labor installed. It was a several year battle. But the homeowner was an attorney and refused to give up . In retrospect , it was the most poorly , most costly window on the market. I’ve had homeowners suggest pella and I turn the job down. They usually go with a window brand I have used for thirty years. I can’t emphasize enough how poorly these pella windows are constructed. The engineering behind them is an atrocity. Best wishes if you already have them in your house. But new buyers beware. Just a head up.

      Hey Jim! Super awesome that youve been building that long. Let me ask you a question though, if you're such an expert why not start your own youtube channel to educate people on your opinions? Because its easier to just come tear down others? Or because someone might come make this sort of comment on your page? I dont blame you. Just maybe be thoughtful of how you come across next time. Have a great day - Chris
