    Great straight forward info with no mucking around😂😂😂. Makes really good sense and gives me a new perspective to aim for. Thanks Mate

    Thanks Dave, appreciate the video on less developed pines. Legend!

    David your probably better off leaving all the needles on the sacrifice branch so it produces more energy.
    Its not waisting energy keeping them as they already exist and it will give purpose to the branch being balanced with the other heavy branches so the tree will continue to send resources there...
    Just some food for thought...

      @@jimmywilson5480 I don’t normally need to use on seedlings. But unfortunately I do preventative spraying with lime sulphur.

    Not to take anything away from you because I love your channel but I miss seein Hanh work on the old twisted ones. He’s the reason I twisted a bunch up for years down the road.

      Yeah he had issues with hacking. He is still a member of my club and I’m hoping to do and film some work with him in the future.

    Thanks for another great video! I've been following your JBP videos in particular as I have one too but it's still in its baby stages and I am new to the species. I was wondering if you might do a special video focussing on candle cutting in a few weeks time? Cheers!

      Yes I will be doing that. I’ve also videos on my channel from a year ago on decandling pines. If you can see my black pine playlist you should be able to find the decandling videos

    I don't know what those objects around the branches are, how they got there, how long they are meant to stay there, how they work and where to get them. Were they used to twist the trunk? If so how??

    What's is Hanh's youtube channel? I used to see it through my feed and have watched many of his videos but I cant seem to find any of them.

      Sadly it’s gone. He got hacked and eventually CZcams shut down his channel.

      Aw that stinks. I came across a video that had him in it with you doing his awesome black pine bending and it hit me that i had seen him. When he started talking I knew exactly who it was. I sure feel for him. He has some amazing material. Thanks for letting me know. I knew if anyone knew something it would be you haha

    8:39 You could tell us what you do with the 12 foot of growth you eventually have after the trunk is fat. If it was deciduous, I'd know to chop it. But for some reason, I can't find anywhere if you can chop these or not. Or are you stuck with 12 feet of growth and a fat trunk?

      @Rootpuma2.0 Před 2 lety +1

      on a pine you can chop back as long as there is green growth below the cut. so either a branch below the cut or at least 20 needles
