Alexei Navalny was asked what his message would be to people if he was killed.
Here is his response from the Academy Award winning documentary about him titled #Navalny, which you can stream on DocPlay.
In August 2020 a plane travelling from Siberia to Moscow diverted to Omsk when a passenger on board became deathly ill. That passenger was Vladimir Putin’s fiercest critic - #AlexeiNavalny. Navalny was evacuated to Germany where authorities confirmed he had been dosed with the Soviet-era nerve agent Novichok. But how was Navalny poisoned? And by whom? NAVALNY, is a fly-on-the-wall documentary that unfolds with the pace of a thriller. Enthralling and intimate, and shot in real time, NAVALNY is also a study of Navalny the man. Reading about Alexei Navalny and struggling to understand how wholy inadequate the word "courageous" is to encapsulate his bravery. He must have known he'd eventually be murderered by the regime. And yet he flew home.

Without knowing it, Putin has just blessed Russia with a beacon that will most certainly lead to brighter days for Russia.
Navalny’s inspiration will live for decades (well after Putin is gone).
He may have said some iffy things in the past, but God damn you have to admire him for giving his life to the cause. There are very few people in the world that would be willing to go that far for a cause they believe in. Legendary is a word that lots of people seem to be using to describe him, I don't think that even comes close to describing what he did for Russia.
