If you want to hear the same exact sound your best bet is a Hong Kong🇭🇰 to Manila🇵🇭 flight if when a B777-300 non er is scheduled to scheduled to operate that route. All of the engine types in CX fleet operate that route. On the lower end of the engine pounds Force kilonewtons Spectrum you are more likely to find A320-214s CFM-56 A321-271s PW1100G on that route those belong to PR & 5J. In Australia RR Trent 800 flies these routes towards Singapore Bangkok and Auckland.
Much quieter than a PW4090 on taxi and takeoff. If flying to or from MNL your best bet of getting a Trent 800 B777 are HKG-MNL CX, SIN-MNL SQ & BKK-MNL TG. This is different from ICN-MNL where you're going to see PW4090 B777.
mtrujillo1973 yes the Trent has some flaws, but nothing is perfect. The GE90 is literally the fortnite of jet engines. In other words, all 12 year old “av-geeks” get wet over it
Well said. I'm so sick of seeing people worship GE90 simply because it's the most powerful engine. Like yes it's a good engine but no need to say "NOTHING BEATS GE90" or "GE90 BEST ENGINE". I just find that engine a little bland, it's just a little boring compared to the incredible sound of the Trent. Power and size =/= good engine sound
I have found that if you sit in front of the wing where you can "visibly see" the engine from your window seat. The noise and drone of a 777's engines are nearly unbearable on take-off. However, if you are seated just BEHIND the wing as is shown in this video the difference of that terribly LOUD drone on take-off is like night and day. God knows why anyone would want to be on a 10+hr flight listening to those noisy engines. 787's are by FAR quieter and A350's even more so. Yes it's amazing to watch a 777 take off and hear the plane from the outside. But inside is another story altogether. NO THANK YOU...!!!
The Trent 800 really has some tune, that buzzsaw noise is the piano note F#1 which is at the bottom of my singing range!
Probably one of the best Trent 800 takeoff videos I've seen to date!
I love that howl and buzzsaw of the trent 800.
This sound makes me wanna fly even more
That title is spot on...that RR growl that only appears at high power is sensational!
1:23 love that sound
The spooling sound in the start is addictive!
I don’t normally geek out over engine noises. But that engine roar is amazing
Epic Roar! I love the Trent 800s!
never flown on a RR 777 - but man it sure does sound beautiful.
I flew on RR for the first time in business and the buzz was cool
Fantastic engine sound, thanks for sharing
Beautiful inflight footage! Thanks for sharing!

1:23 I don't know why this sound is different from the normal machine

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Its flying over hull
Great spool up at takeoff.
What camera were you using & how quiet are the engines?
Late reply! I used a Canon G7X. The engines were very loud, that's what we want though right?! Honestly, like a drill through your skull!
@@JesseCasserly757 Trent 700 or 800 louder?
compare with the sound of spin dryer (inspired by The Laundry Alternative)
🥵😮💨🤤
2600 rpm

MUCH more pronounced roar than GE90 (overrated engine).
mtrujillo1973 what I’m so confused... I love Trent 800 and prefer it over GE90. Please don’t kill me :(
FlightFilms finally someone agrees that it’s over rated.

Because it sounds loud and powerful, not annoying and squeaky
i like ge 90 better
Then why are you watching this video? Go watch GE90 takeoffs
@@BatBellyAviation if you follow that logic you wouldn't watch other videos either ;)
GENX and GE9X sounds better despite being quieter
