    This comment is from Korea. I bought the SP36 Pro 18 months ago. I usually use it when I go to the mountain at night alone. I think the short turbo mode time and severe heat generation are disadvantages.

    Hello i have sp36 pro, how to put it on high steady? Cauz everytime i put in on med or high, the light auto decreasing to low even the batt is fully charge

    • @jbr84tx
      @jbr84tx Před 3 lety +2

      The only thing you can do is set the temperature where the step-down starts. This light gets real hot real fast, and it automatically powers down to prevent overheating. Set the step-down temp to 60 (30 clicks) and it will stay on high a little longer, but it will get hotter. Turbo is only meant to be used for brief periods. It's in the instructions how to do this.

  • @808Cummins
    @808Cummins Před 3 lety +1

    I have the BLF sp36 and the pro. I prefer the BLF hands down. First light I grab if I sense an intruder has entered the property is the BLF SP36. The beam pattern is way better and brighter on max ramp than the pro. The pro only beats it by going into turbo.

    • @LumenVaultReviews
      @LumenVaultReviews  Před 3 lety +1

      I gree. The beam is way better on the first versions of the SP36. And sustainability wise those are better. I believe the new anduril version also played a big role on these unexpected fast step downs. Sadly I dont have my other sp36 to compare to this. But I will use the pro to be compared to other flashlights in the future.
      Thanks for the input man.

    • @PiercingTheDarkness
      @PiercingTheDarkness Před 3 lety +2

      Set the High level to a higher max ramp then. Sofirn didn't configure it for the SST40 LEDs. From On > click 4 times > on the 2nd setting click once. Now it'll ramp all the way up to Turbo

    • @808Cummins
      @808Cummins Před 3 lety +1

      @@PiercingTheDarkness then it becomes pointless. I can run the BLF on max ramp for as long as I can deal with the heat. No need for turbo and the beam pattern and 5k is pleasing to the eyes. If I run the max ramp as turbo on my pro then all I get is less than a minute before step down...temperature corrected....I live in warm weather. When I'm hunting I cannot use the pro. Can't track blood and sometimes when I need to distinguish between a pig or shadow 50 yards away, the BLF high cri is amazing.

    • @PiercingTheDarkness
      @PiercingTheDarkness Před 3 lety

      @@808Cummins that's not what I meant, sorry. If Anduril isn't set up for the SST40 then setting max ramp as turbo is a quick way to bump up the brightness a little more from the default setting or you can spend a lot of time trying to set a level that matches the BLF

    • @808Cummins
      @808Cummins Před 3 lety

      @@PiercingTheDarkness Mahalo for your input. I thought about doing that when I first got it and realized that it comes with shortcomings. I am no way at all disappointed in my purchase of the pro. But I am in so much in love with my SP36 BLF that it is my go to light. I am thinking of gifting my Pro to my kids one day and just purchase an MF01s. Love your channel too. Keep on posting those vids. I love the comparisons.

    • @LumenVaultReviews
      @LumenVaultReviews  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi there is no lanyard hole on the SP36 series. But they have a holster for this. Others improvise using paracords. What they do is tie the paracord around the body of the sp36 and make a lanyard hole end for the hands.

    What's the price of this product. ?

  • @jbr84tx
    @jbr84tx Před 3 lety +1

    Your camera is compensating for the decreasing brightness so I can't tell when it is stepping down.

    • @LumenVaultReviews
      @LumenVaultReviews  Před 3 lety

      Those time stamps when i said it stepped down visibly means that it is visible to our bare eyes and i did not base it on the camera screen. Im observing the brightness itself. Did it a couple of times.
      It is best to set the temperature ceiling to 60° to 70° to have a better turbo runtime before it steps down.
      Aiming to get a better camera soon. 🔥😁

    • @LumenVaultReviews
      @LumenVaultReviews  Před 3 lety +1

      They are both using Anduril UI. The only difference is the output. BLF has a max output of 5950 Lumens while pro is 8000

      @@LumenVaultReviews would I be losing much in term of throws, brightness or runtime if I get the sp36 BLF compared to the pro version?

    • @LumenVaultReviews
      @LumenVaultReviews  Před 3 lety +1

      @@tendousj i would say the difference would be noticeable yet its not a big gap of difference. I would still prefer to have longer runtimes on the first versions. Plus, the SP36 has better beam appearance than the pro. But if you want a brighter light for just almost a minute of turbo runtime before it steps down, the pro is good for you.

    • @tendousj
