HI Jess. I think you did a fantastic job! We have dealt with nasty mats, carpets, and upholstery that looked exactly like that and even with the extractor and steamer and some of the best cleaners, some stains will not come out. It feels defeating, but experience will tell you that its simply an older vehicle and there is only so much that can be done. Keep at it!! I love seeing new detailers diving into the business and showing the reality of what real detailers do each day!
Well said Phil. You're an inspiration for the detailing community.
@@JhawkerZ thanks!
Thank you so much! The more older vehicles I work on, the more I am accepting the fact that some things just can’t be reversed which has been a great lesson!
Try covering the top of the steam hose with a towel and bring the steam closer to the carpet
Good job Jess. One recommendation I would make is to tornador the heck out of the mats prior to applying anything, sometimes it takes multiple rounds, but trust me tornador until there is no more dust coming off and the results will be amazing
Ok! Thanks so much for the tip!
Great job your a detailer not a miracle worker.
I always tell myself that exact thing 😂
It looks 10x better! You did an amazing job...You get to a point with older vehicles and lighter colored fabric that you cant get all of the stains out.
Thanks so much. And who knows how long those stains have sat there..
Definitely good job! work with what you have.
Thank you!
Great work Jess. You are one of the top channels that I watch, Yours and Miranda detailing are truly the most informative and non repetitive. Thanks for all the knowledge you are sharing.
Wow, thank you so much. I am always brainstorming how to keep things fresh. I hope I can keep content fresh as time continues to pass!
Jess, you’re making a great effort!
Thank you!
Great job Jess keep up the good work. Your channel is awesome.
Thank you so much, I appreciate that!
Great job keep up the great work.
Thank you!
Sometimes once the carpet is permanently stained from what ever has been sitting on there’s not much you can do, some stains have damaged the materials permanently
Brilliant video Jess! Really enjoyed everything about it :) If possible in the future, could you do a video revving up your car? So we can hear how it sounds! 😊
Thank you! Haha I gotta be kind to the ‘ol girl!
Hahaha I wasn’t asking you to destroy it! Just a couple of gentle taps! No worries if it’s not feasible 🤣
Hi Jess I hope you are well, that is why many detailers and I also said, before starting the job, that we are going to improve until possible but I know sometimes it is like that Good video Jess, Greetings from Brussels Belgium..🥾
Thank you so much. So true! We’re not miracle workers, right?!
@@DetailWithJess Right 🙏
looks great considering what the carpets looked like before nice job
Thanks you!
I would get a one gallon sprayer save your hands from pumping very nice work keep up the good work
Thanks for the tip! I’d like to get a few gallon sprayers, I just need some reorganizing in my van because I’m maxed out on space and can’t even add in a spray bottle if I wanted to..
Looks awesome Jess
Thank you!
@@DetailWithJess you’re welcome Jess

Super clean 3:1 dilution
I did try Super Clean on the last few stains and still no budge. I used to be a fan of Super Clean on tough stains but then a ton of detailers told me I was ruining the Factory finish on the upholstery so I stopped using it except when absolutely necessary…I don’t quite know the facts on that but 🤷🏼♀️
Great job on some tough stains, light colored carpet and interior are the worst.
Thank you. I do appreciate how light fabric doesn’t show any wicking though in comparison to dark upholstery…that’s😉 at least one plus
Have you ever done a side by side comparison of the brand name cleaning products with the cheap oxygen booster from the dollar store and the cheap powdered laundry detergent from the lumberyard? If you don’t need fancy equipment to clean why would you need overpriced cleaning products….
There’s various ways to remove stains. As a mobile detailer, I can only carry so many products with me at a time and I limit my products to the ones that are guaranteed to work in all circumstances. A lot of those oxygen booster products have chemicals in them that will lighten fabric which doesn’t work on dark upholstery, and while they can break up proteins, they’re not as affective as an enzyme cleaner at breaking down proteins. Thankfully none of the products I used are really all that pricey and a majority of my details only cost me around $1-$2 in product costs.
Hmm. I have noticed the lightening effect with oxygen boost as well. I was just curious if you had ever experimented with that before. Hadn’t thought of the fact that even if you could save 90% on your inputs you’re still at less than $2. Cheap insurance for you
Nice job beautiful
Thank you! 😊
Hey Jess, your channel has really helped me with starting out my business, so thank you. I do the carpets like you except I use the mcculloch slightly different and then extract with the mighty lyte extractor head and ridgid vac. I use the triangular mcculloch head and wrap a microfiber towel around it, the way you're doing it now works but is more efficient with that head on and avoids potential damage. Here is an example; czcams.com/video/XlEgT10mR5M/video.html Do you end up using the 3rd chemical in the P&S step? I have a gallon of bomber and terminator just wondering about the 3rd
That’s so awesome to hear! I ended up throwing out all of my attachments out to my McCulloch just because I never used them 🤦🏼♀️ I’m sure some totally come in handy though!! I do often use Step 3; it’s just job dependent. Like, I did a car the other day that had mice nests in it and the Peroxide treatment really helps neutralize everything once you do steps 1 and 2.
@@DetailWithJess I'm in Vermont, and I am currently detailing a 91 Honda CRX. Lots of old Hondas bc people rebuild them to race and we were talking about New England mice developing an evolutionary trait to find the cabin filter of a car. Good luck in FL, appreciate your videos
“somebody could have pooped their pants”. Lol, That can happen to anyone regardless of age.
