Yes exactly the thing i laughed about. But also damn, Kanan wasn’t hesitant there 😂 Maul did look a bit fearful *he prolly remembered the last time they had a duel and how THAT went* 👀
I'm kind of curious about two things: 1) How long was Maul standing there? 2) If Bendu did not allow Maul to see him, I wonder how this looked to Maul? Seeing Ezra and Kanan talking to what appeared to him as nothing. He's probably thinking 'And I thought I was the crazy one. I need to get Ezra away from the lunatic prompto'.
Maul just doesn't want to be alone. Savage was his brother and he felt the loss when Palpatine killed him, and since then he has been looking for apprentices to fill that hole in his heart. He tried it with Ahsoka, and now Ezra. Maul's arcs always revolve around him looking for someone, not power or weapons.
That's one aspect of it, but ultimately he sees Ezra as a tool to acquire and wield power. Even if he genuinely seeks connection, the only type of relationship he's ever known is abusive ones. You are either the Abuser or the Abused... the Master or the Apprentice. He forces that dynamic upon his relationship with Savage even though Savage wanted them to be equals. He tries the same thing with Ezra, and he would have done the same with Ahsoka if he had his way. He was raised this way very deliberately by Sidious, it's all he's ever known, and he's been taught to see it as the natural way of things.
@@Randoman590 Even considering that he was the best master Savage had out of Dooku and Ventress, caring more about Savage's well being at times than his revenge against obi wan. When the light and the dark come together he disappears because it’s not his quarrel. He knows when two opposites meet there’s always a struggle. It doesn’t even have to be about power, there’s just always problems when Ashla and Bogan come together. So Bendu leaves knowing something will happen. Perhaps if Maul willingly seeked out Bendu maybe there could’ve been some dialogue, but due to Kaleb and Ezra being present he leave them to fix their own problems.
