- Wandering with intention. First of all I think walking is very therapeutic not just physically but also mentally and emotionally. I feel that I grow closer to people and animals when I spend some time walking with them. Not only does conversation come easier but I believe the natural rhythms of walking and exercise in general cause the release of all things good within us and if we experience that with someone else our connection to them strengthens. But that's just a small part of it. Walking invites exploration which inevitably turns into adventure which is the best way to connect but this isn't all about connection or maybe it is. I love to walk alone as well, so I can connect with myself, a chance to let my mind wander while I wander. It's a chance for your subconscious self to reach out and actually be heard rather than being drowned out by all the noisiness of daily life. Wandering is freedom but don't loos your self to the point of getting lost, pay attention to landmarks and keep track of where you're going and where you've been. Lol, both literally and figuratively. Cheers!
I hope everyone finds that perfect camp-site. A special spot that you find organically. We were exploring a new area wandering in whichever direction caught our attention when we stumbled across perfection! A special place discovered and enjoyed by us together as a family for years to come.

When you said, "you better say your prayers, boy!" It reminded me of a childhood memory where we were riding up a gondola up the side of a mountain. My sister, who is always worrying about something, said, "what if it breaks and we all die?" My mom calmly patted her leg and said, "well, then we'd at least die as a family." That's a memory we all laugh about to this die. Anyway, thanks for another awesome video.

On my recent motorcycle camping trip I just used your technique for cinnamon rolls with the stone and pans on my Firebox G2. Turned out perfect top and bottom! Thanks for sharing all the various ways to cook. I’m loving all my Firebox products.

I enjoyed joining you and your family on this premiere, my friend. In the live chat, I commented about the Freestyle Stove budget "hack" for using Walmart skewers as the "firesticks". Just found them- $2 for a 4 pack of nearly 14" long stainless steel skewers. They rise/sit on the stove a bit higher than the standard firestick, but fit in the slots perfectly. They make for a great extension on the stove edge when you want to keep food items warm outside of the fire zone👍

Steve, having seen and enjoyed your products i have one request. Show/ explain keeping food cold. Three or four days is a lot, without ice.
Three or four days is pushing it. I bring most items frozen then keep them insulated in my sleeping gear as well as a bubble wrap homemade cooler. It's all about using the insulation you're already bringing and then keeping it all in the shade as much as possible. Also bring stuff less likely to go bad such as farm fresh eggs. Foods high in fat or sugar will naturally keep longer. Example, Cream will last much longer than milk.

Yes I am very grateful for my beautiful family and the beautiful wild environments in which we enjoy each other's company. I spend time going down less traveled roads and also sometime in ranger stations talking to those who spend the most time back in while places.

Good observation, I wish I had sandals on. Ever since I broke my foot sandals have been less of an option. Have to have orthotics under my feet at least for that time being.

Hi Steve, as a fellow Utahn do you have any tips on finding great places to camp like these? It has always been a struggle of mine
It's all about taking the time to go down those roads less traveled. You simply must spend some time exploring otherwise you just end up where everyone else is. Also spend some time talking to the rangers in the ranger station and looking at maps. They will have good information but there will also be other people there who may be able to help point you in the right direction.
