You’re absolutely right about who’s is to blame for the damage box. Most people blame the carrier but at times the shipper or sender is too cheap to properly wrap it for protection.

@@jrob0021 from a person that worked at fedex bro its definitely fedex fault... it has to be unloaded by worked then loaded into a whole different truck for shipment within 2 hours they dont care about packages but getting the job done
I’ll tell you why it took longer for the controller... the controller updated wirelessly whereas the console used a wired connection. Wireless is usually slower. Not to mention we have never really explored the transfer rate of updates to controllers anyway.
Lol same thing happened to me when I bought the one x. Box was damaged, and the console was too! The console sounded like parts were falling around inside. When I went to return it....they actually fought me on it lol! Took me close to 20 minutes of arguing to get my money back. That was the very last time I ever spent money at GameStop,

@@jrob0021 can’t blame GameStop for that alone. Microsoft themselves do the same thing. I buy tons of xboxes and Xbox accessories. Usually reputable eBay sellers package their products better than any retailer or manufacturer.

Yeah, this one didn't seem to be FedEx's fault. Gamestop just didn't package it well enough lol. I'm pretty sure the controller or headset punctured the xbox series s box in transit

Well the damage could've been from whoever shipped it and it's usually FedEx, UPS, or USPS depends some times. As far as him choosing the bundle he said himself that he wanted it.

I have a Series S and enjoy it alot. Game pass is amazing. I'm a playstation gamer but wanted a cheap entry to Xbox as a secondary console. My only minor disappointment is that it plays One S versions of older titles instead of One X enhanced, despite being powerful enough to handle that.
Still trying to get a PS5 but Series S is keeping me entertained till then.

I’m pretty sure that was the shipping company cause I’ve gotten packages from nike with the box inside punctured and the outer box completely fine. Whenever something like that happens the shipping company re boxes it . My fedex guy broke it down for me after I complained once. These things happen

i ordered my ps5 5 launch games from gamestop. i payed 20 dollars for release day delivery. they took the money immediately and posted it as shipped two days before release but had no info on delivery. launch day came and went got my ps5 ..no games the delivery date then shifted back and forth for days and three phone calls and two emails later i had no explanation why i payed extra for delivery and they refused to refund the delivery charge or cancel the order. i finally got the games a week later in a damaged sleeve with food all over it and the games were crushed (no packing foam or anything) by this point i don't want the games anymore and will have to return this, worst experience ever.
The damage couldn't possibly have anything to do with the company that shipped it. Or the company that handles the distribution to GameStop's door.
I think it's a nice little console, maybe for a bedroom set up or if you just don't plan to do 4K, or if you're on a really tight budget. I kinda wish the cables were white for some reason.

I was able to unpack mine an keep the box in mint condition. Probably one of the cleanest consoles to unbox.
Fantastic video im the very same when i buy something New i like to receive it Not Damaged seeing that Damaged box is so annoying. A tip when your opening the plastic tabs heat them with a Hairdryer to softin the Glue and they come off No prob 👍👍👍

The same thing happened to me, but with my ps5 from GameStop, the seal was open and the tab that pulls up was ripped and a cut in the front, for the box the ps5 was in was dented a ton.

Mine had been stood on by the amazon delivery driver. Had a big muddy footprint on the box. The box also had several other dints and bumps. I spoke to amazon about it and got 20% off. Console and accessories were thankfully fine.
My PS5 from Gamestop arrived damaged, one of the corners is bent and cracked, you can see on corner of the box where they dropped it. I feel out of luck returning it because they are sold out everywhere and may be sold out until next year (so I've been hearing).

I've gotten my Xbox Series S since Christmas and I have had so much fun with it, and it is my favorite console I've ever had so far. My preference is to have digital games so when I do go to Florida I can just connect my Xbox and play from there without breaking or carrying around extra disk. (Keep in mind I have gone through so many consoles such as the PS3, PS4, Wii U, Wii) I strongly suggest the Series S if you're on a budget and you want to save space.
Yeah I’ve had GameStop ship me 1 thing damaged before and they refused to think it was their fault, kept blaming UPS, even though the ups box was pristine, no way it did not go into the box damaged lol I prefer physical media but for some reason this Series S is intriguing to me. I won my Series X from Taco Bell so I might get one of these with the money I saved up for the X!

If you pull that tape a bit more smoothly and faster, it actually doesn't rip off the print. Mine was flawless.
You can always return GameStop stuff you bought online to your local GameStop store. I’ve done it.

What did you expect? FedEx is notorious for delays, broken packages, etc. (Same goes for UPS, but you never know w/ them) On top of that, GameStop doesn’t have the best of reputations. But, I would cut them some slack considering TWO next-gen console launches + some hungry customers! And, a pandemic (unfortunately).
I got my Xbox series s about a month ago, and I’m pretty happy with it. I can understand how you feel about no disc drive on the console tho since I wasn’t used to it not being there when I first got it

I did that and the series s is a great console for the ones wanting to try the xbox for the first time.
Why not buy both, I know the ps5 is huge but still want it when they fixed it and could always hope for a ps5 mini in the future even though I don't have a tv with hdmi 2.1 I still don't believe many games would take credit of the 4k 120hz unless it's a simple made game

If you don't have a 4k tv or you don't need 120fps (which really only would need if you play competitive) this is the way to go in my opinion. I have it and use a 4k tv that only supports 60hz and hdr and every game looks amazing, i don't play games to sweat and so far everything I've thrown at it, it has handled extremely well. If you are coming from base xbox one, ps4 ps4 pro and even one x I think this is worth it. Yes one x and ps4 pro are supposed to be 4k but they rarely play at stable 60fps.. series s is advertised as 1440p but it can handle 4k if the dev so chooses to. Ori runs at 4k 60fps or 1080p 120fps
definitely an underrated console. can upscale games to 4k, has 120hz support, variable refresh rate, plays xbox one x enhanced versions of 360 games, cheaper, smaller, and better looking imo.
yeah storage isn’t all that great, but I have a 4tb hdd drive from my xb1 and the load times aren’t even that drastically different in my experience, applications still load almost instantly.
to my surprise I was actually able to use quick resume using forza horizon 3 and 4, with 3 being on my external drive, and 4 on the internal ssd. worked flawlessly... can’t wait to pickup a new monitor to really experience what it can do in terms of visual performance.
@@1kiloh quick resume uses ssd only do doesn't matter where you the store the game, that's part of the reason it only has 300 plus of storage available to use, it uses part of it for quick resume. Like a saved slate.
