    Thanks Jack for making me feel good about my decision to switch my pre-order from S22 to the Master. It was a very hard decision for me to make that I was still thinking about it if I made the right choice after I made the switch . You nailed it! My biggest concern was maintenance of those sliders on the S20 because its open to dust and mud. I really hate doing maintenance. That's what made me switch.

    Safety warning or at least something to think about:
    Begode master has all packs wired up in series.
    Which means if 1 pack fails you will have a cut off.
    Even if 1 cell in a pack fails it could cause a cut off.
    S20/22 have 2 packs in parallel
    Inmotion V11 & V12 have 2 packs in parallel
    If 1 pack fails the other is still active to balance the wheel.

      "S20/22 have 2 packs in parallel" - so it burns 2x faster? :)
      On a serious note - ride / flammability safety should be top priority

    • @ketowolf
      @ketowolf Pƙed 2 lety +1

      Cutout is one of my biggest concerns, especially as a heavier rider (250lbs). The Master’s battery setup is the only thing that sounds concerning but
 for the other wheels like the S22, if I’m riding at 75% battery, and half the available battery suddenly fails while I’m riding at a modest speed
 would that be enough battery to keep me balanced anyway?
      Cause I obviously want the most safety as possible but I’m curious how much it matters in all practical scenarios for me.

    • @Cr125stin
      @Cr125stin Pƙed 2 lety

      The s20 might keep you balanced if it still has plenty of charge and you are not going fast when one battery fails. One pack is not going to keep you upright at 30mph. I don’t like the way the s20 batteries are manufactured, they are assembled just like the s18 packs with each cell positioned vertically. This puts a shearing force on the cells when jumping or doing drops. I know of multiple accounts of this happening to people s18, and I’m going to be jumping and technical rocky trail riding with the wheel so that’s why I don’t like the s20/s18 batteries. Not to mention not having full power from a stop on the s20.

      If you think placing 21700s in series to achieve 134v is equal to 2400wh, then you should really talk to your mathematics teacher, because it appears to be quite lacking even for an informally educated adult.
      Tip: pacs in series don’t mean that they’re not individually wired in parallel.

    As a S18 owner (and lover) I really wanted the S20/22 to be my next wheel. But after seeing the reviews it just didn't live up to the quality I expected from Kingsong. After seeing this and other reviews I decided to preorder the Master. So stoked on it. Going with the high discharge batteries as I don't need a ton of range and mostly like to trail ride so I'm so excited for the torque.

    It hurts to admit that at this point seems like the most reasonable choice is to wait for another generations of both kingsong and begote wheels. Both companies developed new platforms, both have challenges to overcome and make theirs products more mature. We saw kingsong in action and know it's upsides and downsides, master we are still going to learn. Anyway master is a really impressive wheel and I feel like we are entering the golden edge of euc market, when every company needs to be inovative with each new product to keep up with the competitors.

Also to navigate this, we need Molicel P42A 21700 4200mAh 45A Battery, with (highest current discharge 45A). This is the best 21700 cells for discharge, which is godsend for any EUC!

    Wow! Thanks for your thoughts. I really wanted to like the S20/22, but it is too wide for my short legs, and the demo unit I got to try had really sticky sliders. Like I could barely get it to compress on anything but really big hits. Keeping those sliders clean is going to be really important.
    One comment, coming from the MTB world, usually a coil shock would actually be the one to offer better small bump compliance because of the lower stiction when compared to an air shock. My guess is that the small bump compliance is better on the Master because the suspension slider is much smoother. I'm curious to see how the linkage holds up over time, though. The slop when it has no air in the shock makes me think I'd want to consider adding some low-friction bushings.

    • @supercurioTube

    I still don't think Begode Master is a choice for any heavy trail or mountain riding. The frame of the master and how the plastic battery is attached to it one good fall and the wheel hitting any big rock will puncture straight through the flimsy casing. I looked inside the battery case and took out the pack and there was zero padding to stop it from being crushed and set on fire. I just can't recommend any begode wheel to anyone who really cares about safety or just general quality.

    • @Mn-xh9ps
      @Mn-xh9ps Pƙed 2 lety

      @@danmano478 Hi, Most of problem of wheel comes from mother board (cut off/burn) and/or battery (fire, battery sag), and/or software issue (pedal dipping/weird issue) and/or innovative new design (hollow motor/suspension/new form) and/or water resistance/proofing, so :
      - motherboard is new : they had issue with it on first v12, it seems all new V12come with beefier mosfet that solve the issue, I dont think HT wheel need a whole new designed motherboard, just an ajustement of it. HT motor imo dont draw more power or power in a different way that high speed, it use it differently to give high torque or more RPM (high speed) but electronic on the mother board wont be whole new design. I would worry a lot of a motherboard design issue and/or of the quality of building (I think they will be the same, just adjusted, and it dont seems to have other issue that mosfet on those board)).
      - motor is new : It s the first HT motor for inmotion, so a bit of risk here maybe, but motor are never been a reel issue on wheel, it s seems that motor is a well understand technology. The only issue with motor was for hollow motor (rusty issue on ball bearing). As far as I know this wont be a hollow motor (high speed V12 isnt). I dont think there will be issue on engineering design but can still have some building quality issue, only time can tell.
      - form factor, shell, battery..etc wont change and it dont seems to have any issue in regard of those...so a lot of chance that it wont be problem here.
      So on engineering side (motherboard and motor) I dont think there are some reel challenge here, and the risk seems low. On quality building of the new motor,(the only reel new element) only time can say...
      So, I still think that waiting a few month is still a good advice and a wisdom move, reel world usage, thousand of miles on different rider/weight/climate/usage/etc is the only way to be sure that you wont have trouble. So at least wait a few month.
      Disclaimer :
      - Im not an enginer in wheel or something else... just a geek/techlover/wheel addict/science and skeptical thinker
      - Im not someone who have all wheel and thousand of thousand of miles on wheel
      - this is only my best try to a wisdom, argumented, reasonable advice

      @@Mn-xh9ps Thank you for this thorough response. I knew already about V12 cut out problems because of the 100 V mosfets and now they come with improved mosfets both hs and ht wheels. I prefer ht variant for stronger rim and faster acceleration and braking, for I will use it mostly in town for deliveries. That’s why waterproofing is important. The thing is wrongway had a problem with a new V12 ht. Your advise to wait is the best. My problem is that I don’t have a wheel for the moment and this way I will loose all summer, not to speak about inflation. I considered also Nikola plus, but that LG 1800Wh batteries concern me. It’s very upsetting this trend promoted by most, not all, of these CZcamsrs, to emphasize speed and range in detriment of quality and reliability. These wheels costs a lot of money, they are no longer toys: they are vehicles. Inmotion V12 ht seems well built. Hope they solve the last problems so I can finally buy a wheel that will last at least two years without problems.
      Cheers.

    You know DAMN WELL that this is not a better wheel. I see why Kingsong excused you. Kingsong QC is much better and safety features. Just cause a wheel ca go FASTER doesn't make it a BETTER wheel. Begode RUSHED this wheel out to compete with the S22. Most people will prefer the S22 and you know it. More solid, sturdy construction, especially at high speeds. More spring travel with superior suspension, better tire AND rim. I think you probably just hatin cuz Kingsong aint messin with you

      Not ONLY better "craftsmanship" , but better stability, better range, no fear of cutting out at high speeds with 40% battery life left. No redundant electrical flow. The ONLY thing people who've actually COMPARED the two will say is that the Master has more torque n speed. Ok so WHAT? We dont want the S22 to win any races. We want it to be the BEST suspension wheel on da market. The Master was NOT well thought out, just threw out to steal sum S22 shine.
