If you wait too long with replacing the chain, the cassette will die.

Using the chain checker is very important and WILL save you a lot of money. Many of my customers come with the drivetrain that need new chain, cassette AND the chainrings at the front.

This parts just got put on my bike:CHAINSET SHIMANO ALTUS 48/38/28 170 BLACK W/CHAINGUARD FREEWHEEL SHIMANO 7 SPEED 14-28 CHAIN SRAM PC830 7/8 SPEED 114 LINKS BULK SINGLE(all parts wore worn out)-all brand new and replaced by mechanics at local bike shop BUT I have a vibration in the pedals.Any ideas why?the guys at the shop are saying that there is no vibration.Bike is Trek FX1.

it could be the bottom bracket you can test it by grabbing the crank arm and wiggle it around if there is movement then its probably the bb otherwise might be the pedals itself

I tried with different pedals and it still there,both pedals arms are new and I try to see if there is a play toward and outward of bike and is no play.The vibration isn't at all time and it can be felt "best "on the biggest wheel at front and 3rt from small to big at the back,3x5 speed (hope it make sense).
