“I don’t have a problem. You have a problem.” Our only problem is we can’t get you to stop 😂
Yeah to.stop apologizing
Yeah, the chain letter jam was such a cool and unique, concept! I really enjoyed making a game for this, and yours was very cool! :D
epic

@@GL-Broz It was about time :D

I'm really interested to see the very last games of this jam and then trace back their individual chain to see how they evolved overall
When the video started I thought that was where this was heading.
Me too. 😎
"I don't have a problem, you have a problem" hey vimlark, stop calling out addiction to watching game jam videos
Chain letter jam is a really interesting and unique concept. Some really cool and awesome stuff that came from it
Your game was so cool! And this jam was honestly such a fun thing to do, like you said, in a years time it will be insane to see how much it's grown!
He has grown A LOT as a dev
I'm gonna be completely honest right now. I had never heard of you, I never searched for this, it's been a while since I've watched anything to do with game development. Yet this video showed up in my recommended, I watched it and got hooked, this is a very interesting video, well made, easy to understand and even comes with a link to an actually pretty bloody fun game...I definitely think I want to stick around, if only to know of any new games from you, Word Bounce is really fun and honestly...maybe an extreme or endless mode would have made it even better..but that's just so I have an excuse to keep playing it other than it just being really fun
Its really cool to see people use Construct 3 to make games I feel like more people should know about it.
Big fan of your content, and even bigger fan of your positivity! Great influence in the Indie Game Dev Community!
When you see another game jam video
"ahh shi- here we go again"
Awesome video man ! and of course the game is great too :d thanks for the nomination again ! it was such a cool experience
I love how it’s called the chainLETTERjam and one of the central themes of the original game was letters
This makes me nostalgic for the old chain games the RPG Maker community used to develop on the regular years ago. Somebody would essentially make the first chapter of an RPG, send it to someone else who would make the second chapter, then somebody else who would make the third chapter, etc. It led to some really fun and interesting final projects. I remember thinking the idea was amazing back at the time too, and it worked really well.
0:08 it gets me everytime
I never get tired of these videos. Love them so much. Fantastic work
Great to see your entry to this jam. I've seen a few different games from this jam and it's awesome to see how different they can be when following the simple jam rules.
Another great game Vim! Love it :) super fun. What a great concept for a game jam as well!
nice! this is really interesting type of jam
Id like to attend one of these game jams, so I can learn how all the art is done, and a bunch of other things. I learn better in person and I figure getting to experience something like a game jam could give me an idea of what I should do to start. I know about the videos on CZcams, and I've watched them, but I need to start the physical learning process.
this game is AMAZING, i played both hard and normal mode and was suprised but amazed by both. controls and mechanics are super intuitive (i played it before watching the vid)
Your my favorite dev on youtube
Fun little thing, well put together!
This was such a fun game! I'm actually working on my submission now so it's cool to see you posting a video about it😁
I love your videos Vimlark!
Cool GameJam idea and cool result :D
I like the concept, I remember you posting about that game on twitter and then you posted a "Every game I made" video without any inclusion of it. Now I understand.
Looks cool !
Very creative! Good job
Another game jam... Love it!
Great job man! Was very enjoyable yo watch you and the game seems to be quite fun)
The games amazing! Good job!
The concept is interesting
I like it
I've been watching your videos since the ultimate game jam rounds and I loved it, no matter how many times you explain how game jams work it always catches my attention. When I was a kid I used to try and learned using Java script and after watching your videos it re sparked the passion to learn code and make games, thank you. P.s Taking a high school course that teaches you how to code using Java script.
yayyyyy another vimlark vidddd!
Nice finally another devlog!
5:11 i spent the entire video thinking what that bullet was
I loved the idea
Pretty interesting concept^^
This is so cool.
0:13 I swear he's saying it with 5 iz's
yoooo lets go my game dev motivation generator posted a new video!!!
YAY
As an added bonus, you could possibly add a secret word which has a very low chance of spawning, I would say do something like "KONG" referencing Donkey Kong Country for the Nintendo Gameboy Color.
3:42 apple bees lol
Yay another one
"Miziziziziz. Four izs."
very cool
It might be an honor to be nominated by miziziziz
YOO!!! so cool that my palette got in a vimlark vid
Such a great Idea for a Jam. I hope to I can find time to work on my submission.
Game Jammin'!
Casi no entiendo el video por el idioma, pero me encanta porque siempre es divertido lo increíble que queda el juego
That would be fun to join a jam like this
Nice
You might have a game jam addiction but that’s ok
Woah you did another jam?? I never saw that coming... ;)
Idea: you play as a headless character, and the way you progress is using items as your head, EX: Bombs, grappling hooks, etc.
More game jams are cool, you are totally okay! :)
Game jam live stream: happen
Monkeys on the screen: it's free real estate
Finally! A consistent, family-friendly game jam devlog youtuber!
I have the strange ability to find people I kind of know on the internet. Exaple: I kinda know polyphorge.
Yo im early! Love the work man keep it up! :)
Hey vimlark, did you at the start when started using construct 2 watch a ton of tutorial videos then started working on monkey with guns and other games? Because i watched just couple tutorial videos but not sure to continue to do that.
Best thing is just jump in and make something. You'll learn as you develop. I watched a few tutorials, made a few games and now I make tutorials on construct 😅🤣
Start simple to understand the basics like Asteroids or platformers.
Awesome idea and great adaptation of what you were working with (a great balance of change + staying true to the original) :)
ALSO: The link in the description to Zyger's channel is broken
Yey
Secret Santa Jam was pretty sick too, you should check it out Vimlark
There could be soooooo many games by the end. 😅
Person who has never seen a jam: _I agree with the thumbnail._
for some reason i feel like this gamejam could last forever if people could apply to start a chain!
Can confirm you have a problem , I'm a Scientist 🥼 and I've done the research 📓
Hmm, this could be made into a fun mobile game!
8:29 dr letters there are children here
Jam
It would be cool if word told a story
pogggg
NEW VIMLARK UPLOAD NEW VIMLARK UPLOAD NEW VIMLARK UPLOAD NEW VIMLARK UPLOAD
0:42 JonTron is that you?
Notification Squad Bois!
17 seconds in
:O
I do infact have a problem, with my Codeeee
Took a while, but I beat the hard mode without using the parachute! :D
How are you uploading so fast
OH NO
*explodes*
I died of good uploads
this is kinda like The Textorcist
Are you gonna make the spike timer longer than 30 seconds at some point?
Damn I wanna try but I can't program.
I kind of Think it would be better if Dr. letters came back and trapped you in the dungeon in the dungeon was the game
can you make advance tutorial for construct 3?, doesn't matter if it was free or pay course I'm so desperate to find advance tutorial for so long and you seem like someone understand construct 3 really well :D
Wait. That game is new? I played it another day when looking at vimlark's games on itch.io
Who have the video a thumbs down? 😡
It’d be cool if you could get renominated down the line along your chain
Why not have an infinite mode that goes up to 8 platforms and have additional things like big projectiles, flurries, beams and lightning be added for every additional level
I am interested in becoming a game developer. However, I would like to know if there are any game jams in Idaho where I could learn from other developers. If anybody knows could you point me in a direction. I have only ever made a ball roll on a 2 d and 3 d platform, but I was like 9 so I Don't really know how it was done.
8:36 isn't that exactly equal game?
Anyone getting "the textorcist" vibes?
among us staff.
Can I post my game on Twitter even if I haven't been nominated? I accidentally made a game that absolutely fits the topic when I joined another game jam.
Hangman’s gambit.
Like if you understand
8:57 tsk tsk, messing it up after you told us how to say it?
This game is pretty fun, but unfortunately it didn't last very long, I quickly beat hard mode without taking any damage. Can you add an ultra-hard mode? Ultra-hard mode would give you only 1 hp & you would have to get 8 words.
I guess I can just speedrun it.
Speedruning hard mode no damage is just right.
You only died twice. Huh
