The problem was:
All those pains attacking were happening simultaneously. Because of how we see anime, it looks like something that was going for a long time, but it was all in the same minute. So it looks like they were taking too long to respond, but everything was going at the same time.
But most importantly, all the big wigs of the village were busy at the time researching the information Jiraya brought back and the corpse they found. So it made their response slower.

Same as what happens with naruto x pain in last 5 seconds (when naruto rasengans pain. People says it is the longest 5 sec. But it all happens at the same times.

@@manumudgal4988 I’m gonna be honest, the only naruto character I was sad dying was jiraiya, I didn’t really care about nejis death that much, I felt like the show put way too much emphasis on how sad his death was but I just couldn’t bring myself to care, we barely saw him in shippuden and he never had his “moment”. The only side character that had his moment that I could think of was shikamaru and that’s it

Sure you could binge this arc and cancel after a month, but then you'd have nothing have nothing to watch from them for a month. If you stay subscribed you're paying and still only getting 2 episodes a week. If they did 4 episodes a week on Patreon it might be worth if you like their reactions that much, but sort of a rip off the way it is now IMO.

the names of 6 paths of pain are actually related to their abilities, which are also the multiple abilities of the rinnegan.
e.g. Jugokudo means the path of hell, hes the one u'll hate most im sure.
they are inspired from the 6 buddhist paths of reincarnation :

The Asura Path (修羅道, Shuradō)
The Human Path (人間道, Ningendō)
The Animal Path (畜生道, Chikushōdō)
The Preta Path (餓鬼道, Gakidō)

About the slow reaction of the Hidden Leaf to the attack...you have to remember that the village is VAST AND BIG ! Probably the biggest of the 5 great nations and not all the top jonin are in the village right now...Most are on missions...Also also, the last massive attacks the village received were the Nine-Tail incident and the Orochimaru/Sand invasion...it's not something that happens often so preparations are not really an option...The leaf is a insane military power, that makes them lower their guard, nobody dares to attack them !! A one man army attacking is a shock !
well yes. But the problem is we never see a good amount of scale of it. Its always just the hokage building, ichiraku ramen, the hospital, hot springs , and the gates. You can't expect the village to look big if we almost never see the full picture

Kishimoto wanted Naruto to experience more.than being at the leaf all the time. Especially since he didn't really get a chance to do that more in OG Naruto.
that's not a good excuse when they've been caught off guard in the past. With their military might, they should set up stronger defenses

@@mlh1367 Precisely, with Boruto it does give them more time to unfold the leaf. BUT- why are people complaining that we didn't get much of that in Naruto? If it were all about world building or discovering the Leaf, they would get mad that it's 'too' boring. Half of people skip the filler where they actually show some of the Leaf's other parts anyways. The anime has to keep going...it cannot stop just so someone can know if the Leaf has a pool.
They basically are named like you said Chris but instead of numbers their name is just a path in hinudism that sort of represents their ability.

They're really underestimating just how big the Leaf Village really is. But to be fair, I can't really blame them for that. The show TELLS us that the Leaf is big, but they don't really SHOW that all that much. On top of that, the whole attack so far has taken place within the span of like 2-3 minutes, if that(which I think someone mentioned in the reaction). Gotta remember they're working on anime time lol

Sakura's a Medical Ninja first and foremost, and a fighter second, the hospital needs her, especially in such a big devastating invasion, the nurses aren't as effective as a very skilled medical ninja, plus, it should also be priority to make sure the medic isn't killed or more people will die, and also by herself being at the hospital, she would be able to directly defend it so even more people don't die, people tend to overlook this kind of thing
And people mock her for crying after pain‘s shinra tensei while she was probably just treating some wounded guy and all of the people inside that hospital literally died

yeah, the world is kinda inconsistent. They had like a walkie talkie back in early shipudden when they tried to save garra, but no one uses that in this scenario. They had to share intel manually, with ino's family telepathy ninjutsu, or with tsunade's summoning.
Yeah, cause all of them should have had the walkie-talkies on them INSIDE the village. It’s not like most of them can easily body flicker and report to tsunade (like they literally did in this episode). The walkie-talkies seemed like they were peak technology to them. Big brain moment

So the thing with oruchimaru and his invasion is that it was well organized but honestly kinda whimsical, it’s evident with a few of the things that happened. Like he did summon giant snakes but none of them was Manda. Which I might point out that when jiraiya and his giant toad saw him where both like : fuck we gotta be careful. Also oruchimaru just wanted to show the world he was stronger that the strongest Kate at the time. Because if he really wanted the leaf destroyed a few kage level edo tenseis and manda would have most likely sufficed.

The names are given according to the ability of each Pain. This is something that's not said later in the show. Each Pain receives a name according to the Path (ability) that they possess. Six Pain's bodies = Six Path of Pain.
