it depends how many satellite GPS receivers that the smartwatch use.. the more GPS receiver it uses the more accurate it gets.. some smartwatch use double or triple GPS receiver.. for expansive smart watches even use 5 or 6 GPS receiver for better results
Exactly! This is the second video I've watched with exactly this test and exactly this issue. Why would you NOT actually test the accuracy of the timer over each mile. HE'S RUNNING ON A TRACK! Clearly these watches are inaccurate. Wouldn't it be nice to just run 10 1-mile against a timer for each watch and show the mean and standard deviations to see which is more accurate and precise.
If a GPS is perfectly accurate with full, clear sky visibility, it still only gives a location accuracy of 2-3 meters, which is almost 2 full lanes wide. This comparison is meaningless, both are well within that accuracy on a track so you're not comparing the accuracy of the GPS at all. If you track on wooded trails or in an urban canyon, you'd get an actually meaningful test of the GPS sensor and algorithm. But for most cases, it's just smoothing/snapping that makes a watch more accurate, which is also very poorly tested on a track because what does the watch snap to and how does it smooth? The GPS data itself isn't fine-grained enough to differentiate between lanes (limitation of the satellite data accuracy), which is a significant distance per-lap, let alone over miles.
I have a Garmin Forerunner 45 and tried the COROS Pace 2 for a few weeks, so definitely not an expert, but I like the COROS interface better. However I like Garmin better just for simplicity and consistency
Garmin is way more durable. Military tested by thousands. We used them on deployment. Also, I've smashed mine into several walls on accident and it has no scratches.
Coros Apex 2 pro is made out of titanium and sapphire for less then 500 . Garmin else have same material watches but their prices start at 700 or 800 dollars. when it comes to battery both have amazing battery but you get a better deal with Coros .
Coros is trash. Garmin is gold. We used them on deployment and everything. Garmin will get you to where you need to be and accurately track it for you. Guys staked their lives on it and won.
Coros Pace 3 is the same price as Cheetah. Apex 2 Pro is a top of the line model. The top model from Amazfit is even more expensive than the Apex 2 Pro, so what are you even talking about?
Forerunner 955 exact same price with updated gps chip.
The consistency is incredible
Cheers lovely the Coros Apex 2 pro 😍👌
If you just put track run, put the line, and the track distance you can get a spot on distance.
On which watch?
@@nuavecmoi the garmin
Coros also has track mode
yea but that wasnt the point of this trial
@@MazalTuvYeah. Coros has track mode. I use it with mine and it’s great.
Would like to see how Suunto fairs in this comparison as well
As much as I’ve hated on your channel, this is wholesome and now I see you’ve come from the bottom up and are truly an inspiration.
Why tf fk did you hate this channel in the first place? This guy is awesome.
I have the Forerunner 255. I use it for running and cycling performance training.
Garmin has been around so long they are the standard. Ill stick with garmin for consistent quality
But you didn't answer the question you posed. Haha...where was the manual collected times vs both watches? 😂
Why not compare with 955, or 255?
Don't they have the same chip?
Which is more legible when running?
This is crazy considering you have them in a first place second place position on your wrist.
Sounds dump, but why not check woth another garmin and another coros so 2 each. I think it deviates a lot then between brands
Probably apex 2 took 10 meters furtgrr to start. The metrics are extremely similar and both watches are high quality👌👍
Both watches on absolute garbage and incomparable to something like a Galaxy watch or an Apple watch.
@@elixier33are you joking
In what world do u have a higher average time on a shorter distance. Did u start them at different times? Maybe the coros first?

Amazefit bip 3 pro has 4 for 69$
The Coros Pace3 connects to 5 sats and has dual frequency gps mode $200. Best running watch at that price point.
You have to use the Garmin track run activity. Super accurate
Ill take the watch that says I run faster
Even if it is a lie?
"Five Hundrerollrrrsss", he said
I just wonder what was battery level before and after the run …
Track option. Did you use?
945 a bit older! It was released in 2019!
Should've had someone time you to measure both watches accuracy

Can you compare any garmin to coros pace 3
I love my Garmin enduro 2
Bro forgot the control group
Thanks bro

民用gps精度不可能給的很精準,懂的都懂
What was the hand-held stopwatch time? Curious.
He stopped both watches when completed the 6 miles. He knew when to stop regardless of watch metrics (counting laps).
Coros operations CHINA garmin U.S
You're welcome. Don't sell your data
Also, my Fénix 7 Pro and 7X are "Made in Taiwan". Not sure where the Coros is made.
What made you switch to Coros? And do you prefer Coros over Garmin now?
Sponsorship?

Só queria ter um garmin 😢
Garmin has track mode tho so why not use that?
The test was to compare GPS accuracy. Track mode would make a better estimate nonetheless on both watches.
Coros makes you work harder 😭
The first run is when it’s the most inaccurate since it’s trying to calibrate your movement
Garmin is #1 fitness watch
he didnt even answer🤣
still waiting for the answer
Which one is more durable and has better battery life?
Coros
COROS has way more battery life I believe idk about durability

@@joefish6546 It’s obviously a paid/interested “test”.
Separate GPS technology?? Please explain.
The watches are different brands and use different satellites/software
