This entire situation is a great reminder to take surveys seriously.
I've never been so disappointed to NOT get a survey in my entire life.
But yeah, I really want to believe that there is a future for Mario RPGs, either with the "Super Mario RPG" or "Mario & Luigi" branding. I just hope they understand how much we love them.
Mario and Luigi is the only good one (paper Mario has color splash and origami king but those are just 2 games) they should make a new rpg instead of remastering old ones

I hope the people who get the survey are smart enough to pick any of the first three games from each series.

@@giggymuun Dream Team is fine, but the original trilogy is better, in my opinion.
I haven't played Origami King, but I've heard the combat system is repetitive. Not to mention it's already on the Switch.
And smart enough to tick of answers that push for original characters. That's the biggest issue to push for.

I really hope we get a new one, but I also hope they can recapture the charm alphadream put into the series 🙏 it wouldn't be the same without it
Same, the series feels incredibly delicate in that regard. But considering how well the Super Mario RPG Remake and Another Code Recollection turned out, I’m hoping we’ll be fine

I think Origami King has great character writing and a fun story, with honestly great jokes
Seeing the modern writers do the old story style would be a treat, because I think they could pull it off

But Origiani King unfortunately generally lacks original character designs. The next Mario & Luigi *NEEDS* original characters and races or else total bust.

At least we got the Bowsers minions and Bowser juniors journey side mode out of the Mario and Luigi remakes. Those side modes are super underrated and it’s a crime people don’t talk about them more

That's what I've been wanting since Mario & Luigi: PIT! That's 19 years that I've wanted it! I would call it Mario & Luigi: Double Team Trouble because you basically have 2 teams. The Super Mario Bros. and then Wario and Waluigi.

What do you think about Mario RPGS?
A) I Hate RPG elements in games they should not exist anymore.
B) RPGs are too difficult and time consuming I don't play them anymore.

Funny enough, I got a poll about Paper Mario TTYD remake.
I swear to God if people say that they liked Paper Jam and the next game is trash I will lose all hope for this series. Hopefully people are smart and choose the first 3 games.

Honestly, it wasn't THAT ba*draws gun* WAITWAITWAIT I CAN EXPLAIN! Yes, the story stunk, and there were no original characters, but the battle system was fun! And honestly? I prefer battle cards over badg*fires gun*
@@KirbyCoder The battle system is terrible. Bosses will spam powerful attacks that you have to dodge with all three characters which is impossible. At least partners in time made you use Mario and Luigi to jump and the babies to use hammers
@@ExGanonMain Eh, I liked it better than partners in time, having to use consumable bros attacks sucks, but trio attacks are really fun
@@thewanderingchelmetTrio attacks are incredibly slow. Partners in Time's Bros. Items are the second fastest in the series. And the game gives you so many you don't have to worry about them at all.

I've always held hope that Mario & Luigi would return in some meaningful way even when Alphadream shut down, and I'm so glad I did because now more than ever it seems that there may be a new M&L game in the works, and I couldn't be more happy

I also wanted to throw out the possibility of them taking elements from Mario&Luigi and using them for a possible Mario RPG 2.
Say, Luigi could be the 1st party member Mario recruits, and instead of magic attacks, Mario could perform combo moves with his party i.e. Bro Moves.
Id love mario and luigi games that tie in more spinoffs. I liked paper jam's whole idea, a game where you get to use DK, or the wario bros, or gooigi. Just trying in whatever they can would be so cool
I doubt they'll do a new M&L, but if they do... I think they should do one where Wario crosses over (no, no Waluigi, he's NOT canon), perhaps being lured by a news of a mysterious ruins believed to contain invaluable treasures being found by the Mario Brothers, which would entice him for a chance of getting back at the Mario Brothers and making easy money.
And perhaps the way Wario would work is that he doesn't get knocked out in combat, he just loses his motivation and lays on his side behind the brothers, and to get him motivated again they have to pay him. How much they need to pay would depend on is Max HP, and he could perhaps offer a discount for his services if he is allowed to keep 100% of the battle's winnings to regain his motivation. But when he's fighting solo, he starts taking damage in coins when he is out of HP, essentially bleeding money.
They're capitalising on the huge financial success of The Super Mario Bros Movie. It's no coincidence that we got Princess Peach: Showtime and remakes of Mario vs Donkey Kong and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. I can see a new 3D Mario, Luigi's Mansion 4, a new Peach and even a new Donkey Kong being among the first titles for the Switch's successor.
Nintendo is now a budding movie studio as well as a video game corporation. The most unanimous complaint that the Mario movie received was Luigi's screentime. It's more than likely that they're taking this criticism on board for the sequel and will have Mario and Luigi go on an adventure together as damage control.
What better way to hype up the fans by bringing back a series of RPGs which involve Mario and Luigi going on adventures together?

@@lizard.y You could argue that Super mario Strikers is basically the beta release of Mario Strikers Charged because they're also a bit similar as well. Also Wario Land is MIA

i have a feeling that if and when a mario and luigi game comes into reality, it’ll most likely be a console release with the switch 2. it’s a weird theory i have but maybe they’ll kick off the switch 2 with a brand new from the ground up mario and luigi game that’ll not only please current fans but bring in new ones

As I explained in the video if you watched, AlphaDream going bankrupt means nothing. Nintendo still owns the series and can make a new game by themselves or by getting another developer. If you watched the video you would understand
Tbh I'd like the whole putting everything into one game thing but only if they do it in a sense of how Paper Mario works in Paper Jam
8:50 The thing about Mario Party is that even after Ncube got on to pick it up, their first batch of installments were not liked very much. In fact it took 6 years for them to come out with an installment that a good amount of fans liked. Even if or when a new dev finally steps in to develop a new M&L game, they’d possibly screw it up the first time, or even the first two or three, and that’s worrying for an attempt to resurrect a series
Mario Baseball was not a one time thing. Mario Superstar Baseball came out for the GameCube and then they did Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii. If you want to get technical Namco also made the baseball mode in Mario Sports Superstars. Like Strikers formally it didn't get a third game for quite a while. Even Namco and Nintendo are still working on the games.

I don't think its a bad game ether. Its not the best of the M&L games but its definitely not bad. Sticker Stars as a game is far worse in my opinion.

i don't think they're gonna announce a new entry but am positive they're might be a remake for one of the game in the series coming out this year because we don't know what 1st or 2th party switch games are coming out of the 2th half of this year and the switch 2 was delayed so maybe they have something for us to play like a remake to keep us waiting for switch 2
also side note i want a remake of partners in time or dream team since they need fixing the most and superstar saga and inside story do not need fixing that much compare to those games i mentioned and they already been remade.
We need a brand new Mario & Luigi game! The last game that was brand new was Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam and that came out in 2013! That's 11 years ago and I was 27 years old!
Also there is another survey that is specifically for Paper Mario TTYD as it comfirms *and i hope it ends the debate of remaster vs remake in fanbase* that paper mario ttyd is in fact a remake and then asks what we like in game...its characters , the plot and more and then asks what partners and characters you like in game.....this might be a signal of nintendo having interest of mario rpgs and what they truly are

I am playing bowsers inside story remake cause I got it and OH MY GOD. The remakes are good but the remake for bowsers inside story doesn’t really needed to have a remake. And honestly by the time superstar saga released in 2017 they should’ve brought it to the switch it would’ve made more sense during the time before alphadreams got bankrupted because that’s the only Mario and Luigi game not needed for 2 screens. Because of the GBA. But they have to bring it back. I mean I know it was a spin off but I never saw it that way I saw it as its own series

Whoever Nintendo decides to go and make and continue the Mario & Luigi Series, I just really hope that they make the series as great as it was before and also hire back the remaining Alpha Dream employees as well. For the bowsers inside story remake it was okay the only thing i like is they changed how the fire works in giant battles so fawful express is not that bad compared to the og other then that totally unnecessary

I really dont know why Nintendo didnt help Alphadream with their financial problems, but considering the survey 99% sure there will be a new mario rpg game of some sort
i think the fact the rabbids duology are strangely missing is rather concerning, i know they’re the black sheep of the rpgs despite being the newest ones and not being “traditional” rpgs (whatever that means) but i hope that those games continue alongside paper mario and mario & luigi
The main issue with the rabbids games is that, as an Ubisoft collaboration, Ubi would have to… you know… *agree* to do it.

After Paper Jam I don't really care if we get another Mario and Luigi game as that was the most bland and basic Mario games I think I have played in a long time!
Even though Partners in Time was my least favorite M&L game in the franchise i still got to admit that Nintendo did Partners In Time dirty for not giving it remake knowing they were many that loved it alot.
