great stuff man helped so mcuh you probably the best out there in breaking down this song thank you
When you describe the picking patter you're saying you do the second part twice but it's really only once on the down up. It's down down up, down down up, down up, then start over.
Thanks for taking the time to figure this out and then post it for us...greatly appreciated mate!
Hey great video! This seemed more accurate and easy to follow than the other tutorials i could find for this song. Thanks fella! This might actually be the best song ever made
Hi, great video. When strumming the intro, do we also need to choke 1 & 2 as well as 5?

Hey man, i think jigsaw is my favorite radiohead song too and im trying to learn it. Or start learning it, because i broke my guitar string tonight just trying to get it in tune. I was wondering, what guitar string giages do you use to play in open D?
Hey, thanks for the comment! I just use 13s on my acoustics. It’s quite a regular gauge really - not too light, and not too heavy.
Is it possible that your guitar strings are getting a bit old and it needs restringing? Old strings can get little weak spots in them that make them much more likely to snap
It doesn't matter what specific gauge you use for the tuning. Your guitar strings should be able to tune to whatever. there could be a few reasons for your issue:
-the strings are old and you need to restring your guitar
-you put the strings on wrong
-somethings off w/ your tuning pegs
-you switched to a different gauge without leaving time for your guitar to adjust to it
Now, you may want to consider what kind of sound you're opting for. if you want a heavier sound, go with a heavier gauge. a brighter one, go with a lighter gauge. if you do however change your gauge, only change the gauge up or down one at a time. example: if you have 10s but want 12s, put 11s on for at least two weeks and then put the 12s on. making sure your guitar can keep up with it is important and can affect your sound!
