The reason being, and this is what I read a couple years ago, is it was one of the writers I believe that fell fatally ill. So the other writer didnt really know where to go from where he left off last time, so I think he's leaving the series alone
Same here. If I get into a Deviant: The Renegades Chronicle my character is going to be of the Exomorph Origin, and the Invasive Clade with my character's inspiration being the Guyver.
I spent all my childhood trying to draw Guyver. He was such an impossible accomplishment.

I must say... the Dark Hero movie got LOTS of bang for its bucks. With modern CGI a new Guyver movie could be pretty awesome.

Grew up on Guyver, my moms bought me the old school VHS TAPES 📼 of both Bio boosted armor guyver volume 1 genesis and volume 2 battle of the guyvers from blockbuster when I was a child
They’re long gone now but still remember sitting in front of my gigantic ass 📺 watching them back to back non stop.
The movie adaptations made me appreciate the franchise even more.
Man, this brings back so many memories.
More like devolution. The 80s version was great! It set the bar, and is hard to top.

@@ghettablkgffb yeah the fights were lame. Oh well. The actual action choreography in the manga isn't all that. The original oca ain't much better. The 2nd movie and the two anime series have decent action. But it's not like The Guyver is famous for mind-blowing action.
@@orinanime the mangas are comics . They’re not live action . The job is to portray the actions bit in comics the best way .I don’t know what your expectations was in manga in the sense of action . It has action in the comics so when it’s made into live action it’s a action movie ..the first one is a let down simply because of the action scenes
@@ghettablkgffb plenty of manga/comics are able to convey action/choreography/fights way better than The Guyver. The fact that it's live action doesn't matter. The art should still utilize dynamic posing, panel layout, speed-lines, to create a sense of movement and fluidity of motion in the Action.
The movie is a let down.
I'm not arguing that.
I'm merely pointing out that it's no worse than some of the other various incarnations, including the source material, in that regard.
The only way the source material is better, in terms of the actual action, is the gore.
But I was fine with it being omitted from the live-action adaptation in all honesty.
I was like "it's older than 2006!" Then I realised I'm old!

Its been nearly ten years since the last graphic novel. Im not sure if its the writer or animator that apparently died, but its why nothing has been continued, so Ive heard. I guess its safe to say Guyver won't be back

I would really like to see a third live action movie even if it’s a reboot, but I want practical effects costumes not CGI. We got many different zoanoids in both movies, and yes there were a couple recycled ones, but they were both really good fx creatures.

Многое потерял. Но никогда не поздно. Советую версию 1989 года, лучшая. Хоть и незаконченая. Версия 2005 более продолжительная, но качеством намного ниже. Хотя заметно дальше ушло по сюжету. Все беды данной франшизы в том что автор оригинальной манги до сих пор ее не закончил. Он что то вроде Джорджа Мартина в мире манги.

20+ years later there still hasn't been a continuation nor a 3rd movie or even another reboot. I know the mangaka has since retired but I still wonder could he sell the Guyver character & rights to a studio? Make Guyver 3 God dam it get David Hayter back. Heck I think Guyver is a public domain manga character so someone gotta make something with the character for free.

Yeah i think this was the problem with the new versions that sucked they wanted it too apeal too younger audiences instead of the foundation of true fans.They should make it more shocking a proper sci-fi horror.This sort of creative stagnation allways happens too stuff epecially these days. Lets have political zenomorphs and make it less original as possible somehow thats gonna sell and they try that sort of crap and waste money it never ends recently the world really has gone kronus haha! ive seen all of these. and i can say for sure. the live action movies are so bad xD. im annoyed with the 2006 remake too. they dragged out allot even tho it had like double the episodes it only got a little bit further in the story

If they would try to remake it today I definitely would watch it I definitely think it would really be intense but the question is if Steven Spielberg or Michael Bay or just have Netflix go through it since they are claiming to do a more live version of avatar the last Airbender better the the last Airbender by M. Night Shyamalan which was complete garbage

Out of control has that stupid borderline hentei guyver 2 sequence. Might actually be my favorite version? Even if its really its own original story. Never made it past vhs officially in america.
The last episode of the original 90s series, has that weird OMG BOOBIES with the camera zooming in and out 'only on the uncut versions' Rest of the series was fantastic. Dvds are out of print

Guyver 2 was decent! Definately alittle too power rangers, but wasn't bad. No US official blu-ray. Online hd rips are pretty good looking.
Then the GOD AWFUL atrocity the mid 2000s guyver anime was. Probably the worst boring english dub in history. Felt like everyone got a 6pk of boring bud light for payment. Then wasting a bunch of episodes 'we're in hiding!' And...randomly ending with gigantic. Basically killed any good faith in the franchise.
