Wasabi eating contest at Mamasake's (Squaw Valley) 04-24-10

As you can see from about 1:25 into this video, two of the wasabi-eating contestants found that it's easier to eat wasabi than to digest it. Not for the squeamish. Viewer discretion advised. FYI: In the 1st round, ten contestants ate wasabi rolls. In the 2nd round, the top 6 fastest-eaters, downed tempura-coated wasabi balls. And for the 3rd round (in this video clip) the top 3 contestants gobbled straight wasabi balls.
