I’ve watched (listened while drafting) and absolutely enjoyed this review as I’ve been looking at what options I have above 200mm for nikon.
I give the review a 9.5/10 because I got very hung up on the stability aspect of this portion. All of the stability issues listed are not stability issues as the tripod heads are functioning as designed. One should set the friction to not move if wanting to be stationary and then reducing the friction when moving with the camera and lens setup. It’s just me being a bit nit picky because the entire remaining discussion of the lens was VERY THOROUGH and much appreciated as I will be looking for one or a 200-500 depending what I find locally used first. Thanks for taking the time to make this multi part video review.

Thanks for such great content. I have problem using my 200-400mm f4 VR with my Nikon D4. When the lens is attached to the body the OVF is dark. Have you ever heard of such problem. My D500 and D750 work well with the lens

Great lens. Used with a Jobu Pro2 head mounted on a Gitzo Tripod this a great lens for doing bird photography! Also great for doing sports photography.

How would you compare this to the 200-500mm f5.6?
